Record high 24 deaths, 3,100 Covid-19 cases
PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported 3,100 Covid-19 cases and 24 deaths in the past 24 hours. It’s the highest number of deaths in a day so far.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,340 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 192,679.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 245,552.
There are 51,977 active cases with 282 patients being treated in intensive care and 134 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 24 deaths bring the number of fatalities to 896.

Adham relaxes quarantine rules for fellow ministers on official trips
Health Minister Dr Adham Baba issued an order providing more lenient quarantine rules for his fellow ministers on official overseas trips.
The order essentially reduces ministers’ quarantine period from 10 days to three.
