PKR - NOT a multiracial party

From Berita Daily by K Pragalath:

Recently lawyer activist S Ambiga criticised the under-representation of the Indian community in the federal opposition coalition – Pakatan Harapan.

She even termed DAP Ipoh Barat member of parliament M Kulasegaran’s appointment in the Pakatan Harapan presidential council for the position of treasurer general as ‘tokenism’.

There are merits to the issue that Ambiga raised if the federal opposition gives two hoots about gaining the Indian votes.

One must understand that the people who sit in the presidential council are nominated by their respective parties.

Of the four parties that make up Pakatan Harapan, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and Amanah are Malay parties.

PPBM admits non-Malay members but without giving them voting rights. Amanah accepts non-Malays as full-fledged members but has not gotten any prominent non-Malay leaders.

The two multiracial parties are PKR and DAP.

PKR is Malay-based with a considerable number of non-Malay leaders and members.

DAP is predominantly Chinese with a considerable number of non-Chinese leaders.

While the DAP showed its multiracialism in the nomination of its leaders to the council, PKR failed to do so.

Why does that seem to be the case, PKR? Why didn’t PKR reflect its multiracialism by nominating non-Malay leaders into the Pakatan Harapan presidential council?

It is not like PKR is having a shortage of ethnic Indian lawmakers. There are three such MPs who also happen to be practising lawyers – N Surendran (Padang Serai), R Sivarasa (Subang) and G Manivannan (Kapar).

PKR, where is the justice in sidelining the Indians?

  1. "It is not like PKR is having a shortage of ethnic Indian lawmakers. There are three such MPs who also happen to be practising lawyers – N Surendran (Padang Serai), R Sivarasa (Subang) and G Manivannan (Kapar)."

u r right, 3 indians, u can find 3 malays lawmaker in multiracialism dap kah? moreover unlike umno n dap, n now pas, pkr stress very little on race, we r all msian, a concept dap n umno people can never understand, n now pas oso pretend not to understand.

Suck on it, you PKR nonsense, wakakaka

    2. lets talk mp, the minority indian in pkr is 3, surendran, mani n sivarasa while the majority malay in dap is ariff n zairil, only 2, so how dap is more multiracial than pkr?

my point is not to win an argument who is more multiracial, i am merely imply to u y u dap fanboy is damn hypo n malukan bangsa, accuse others on something u people oso lacking? is it not dap that always tell us we r all msian?

i think n almost certain u r a umno mole, a najib lover, a dedak eater cum a traitor lee type, malukan cina.

    3. aiseh, nak cherry pick wakakaka

why avoid indians - do u have anything against them?

don't forget, when you point a finger at me, 4 others are pointing at your own self

  2. PKR leaders are leaders who do not plan forward, therefore they are backward thinking leaders of no calibre. If PKR had good leaders, just one good leader the PR would have been roosting in Putrajaya.

And now, they are quarreling and fighting with each other. If these dudes do not fight they will get mental sickness. These childish politicians never learn. This coming GE14,Najib will walk over them like they never existed. After Najib is done with them, they will be crying out loud for their mamas.Serves them right.

  3. Multiracial? Race/Religion is in fact an important factor in the coming GE14. How did Obama and Trump win the US of A election?

Obama only got 43 per cent of the white vote, about 60 per cent of the Hispanic vote, and 95 per cent of the Black vote. For Trump it is the ku klux klan factor.

BN is the best multiracial front. If PAS and PKR join BN it would be a whitewash.

    1. Is that a prophecy, that PKR will join UMNO? wakakaka

    2. but it is a fact, n not prophecy, that dap now work with bersatu ie mahathir, so whats the issue?
