Exco man says graft claim is political plot
PETALING JAYA: A Perak state executive councillor has denied an allegation that he tried to solicit a commission from two companies involved in a bid for state land and said the allegation was an attempt to destroy his political career.
Abdul Yunus Jamhari said that the allegation had surfaced at a time when PKR was conducting its party elections. He claimed that it was because he was backing the party’s deputy president, Mohamed Azmin Ali.
“This malicious conspiracy is an attempt to topple me as an executive councillor and sabotage the Perak menteri besar’s leadership, especially in view of the swearing-in ceremony for the Perak executive council,” he said in a statement.
Yunus is the Public Facility, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Farming Committee chairman.

Earlier today, Malaysiakini reported that Yunus’s ex-aide, Beh Yong Kean lodged a police report against him.
Beh alleged that his former boss leaked minutes of a state government meeting to him so that he could initiate the negotiation process with the two companies.

Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has ticked off state exco Abdul Yunus Jamhari for crying conspiracy after he was accused of soliciting commission from two companies in exchange for his endorsement.
“I think that is a foolish statement from Yunus. It is strange that he responds to the accusation by claiming conspiracy,” he told Malaysiakini when contacted.
Farhash said there was no need to give excuses, and if he is innocent, the police investigation will show as such.

After so many years, suddenly some try to pretend to be holy anti-corruptors and some try to pretend to be honest and uncorrupted giving flimsy excuses for their integrity and moralities.
It smells instead of just some low level politicians playing their games of thrones under the guise of eradicating corruption whether in the Govt. or private sector.
The reality among the public whether dealing with any Govt. appointed official or private companies ie. those who have the power to grant, approve, process, recommend, propose, select etc, involving licenses, permits, monies, scholarships, subsidies, memberships, land, properties, loans, enforcement, raids etc had always been plagued with corruption.
This corruption was highly promoted under the previous BN regime when everyone saw how blatant, arrogant and immoral the leaders in power and those appointed to their posts were in robbing, stealing, cheating, hiding, lying thru their teeth, closing their eyes etc under various disguises and excuses of even race, religion, rights, priviledges etc.
And it spread like a wildfire among all levels of power in Govt. and the public when everyone jumps onto the bandwagon following their leaders and bosses, devoid of any sense of moralities and decencies under the slogan of "If the boss can do it, why can't I" or "Who cares anymore, when the boss is also doing it" .
It became so prevalent, hideous and the norm, that everyone knew it was just a matter of time before society's values and beliefs break down and the country will end up as a failed country just like most other corrupted countries.
One lesson out of this which is very clear is that in order to eradicate corruption in Malaysia, no amount of religious nor moral education or punishments in Laws whether civil or religious is going to work unless those leaders, politicians, bosses, officers elected or appointed into office are themselves graft free and lead by example and if caught and convicted, sent to imprisonment for life and undergo hard labor to serve back society as examples.
And especially for those hard core corrupted ones who still remain arrogant, flaunt and continues to influence others to join them with rethorics of "Apa nak Malu".

LKS’s strategy is working like a charm. First “advise” Toonsie to form a Malay-only party called Bersatu, to pull Malay votes away from UMNO in GE14. This strategy worked beautifully, resulting in UMNO’s total defeat. Then when UMNO is now struggling for survival and with leaders like Jibby and Zahid facing a multitude of court cases, LKS advises Toonsie to invite a few frogs over to join Bersatu, but only the good ones like Tok Pa. Now today KJ is also feeling frustrated with Jibby being appointed “advisor” to BN, he is ready to be the next frog. Toonsie just have to make the right offer, because he knows that only KJ can save UMNO.
ReplyDeleteBut Jibby has finally learned his lesson, ie those who play the stupid Omertà game will end up losers, therefore he will squeal on the person who told him Bersatu was conceived by LKS, and that today Bersatu is the bitches bone, it’s plaything, it’s Toy Story, it’s puppet on a string and as long as Toonsie follows instructions LKS will not mention anything about all the past sins from his first reign as PM. Oh how the tables have turned.
And now that the Azmin Ali - Anwar Ibrahim feud is growing LKS’s master strategy is......wait for this......drumroll.....
