A VERY VERY WICKED politician

Dr Mahathir Mohamad said making Malaysia an ‘Asian Tiger’ was something he had set out to do successfully.

PETALING JAYA: Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who was prime minister for 22 years, said he would have stayed on if he had known Malaysia would turn into “a country ruled by thieves” after he left.

In his keynote address at the virtual Asian Leadership Conference 2021, he said he had expected those who came after him to share his passion for helping the country to grow.

“I had believed that any leader would be concerned about the people. So, whoever succeeded me wouldn’t matter because I thought if they succeed me they will continue to work on developing the country.

*********

kt notes:

Many have laughed at his verbal faux pas but he has instead revealed his rancorous malevolence in his selfish action.

A little aside first, Malaysia economically was NEVER EVER an 'Asian Tiger'. Wikipedia states:

The Four Asian Tigers are the economies of South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong. Between the early 1960s and 1990s, they underwent rapid industrialization and maintained exceptionally high growth rates of more than 7 percent a year.

Mahathir is not only shameless in claiming that title for Malaysia but a liar in front of participants of the virtual Asian Leadership Conference 2021.

But most venomously, he had by his own earlier action of resignation as PM and subsequent admission showed he has been lying when he said “I had believed that any leader would be concerned about the people. So, whoever succeeded me wouldn’t matter because I thought if they succeed me they will continue to work on developing the country.

To him, whoever succeeded him had mattered and indeed matters greatly in his evil mind. He sabotaged Anwar Ibrahim's turn to be PM by deliberately resigning abruptly on 24 February 2020 without even informing his coalition allies in Pakatan Harapan. Such has been and is his hatred for Anwar that he preferred to resign his position as PM and therefore lost Pakatan's majority rule, and consequently/knowingly eff-ed his own government, coalition allies and agreed PM-in-waiting, Anwar Ibrahim.

Then, it shows in the above statement [... whoever succeeded me wouldn’t matter because I thought if they succeed me they will continue to work on developing the country] that he was quite okay with Muhyiddin-Ass-binte's coup d'etat, in fact preferring the two treacherous rats to the rest of his former coalition allies including Anwar. What an evil hypocrite!

By his vindictive, malicious and spiteful action, his treachery and wickedness have certainly surpassed those of Muhyiddin and Ass-binte.

  1. I think we have long accepted that this old idiot is always spinning stories to fit his agenda.

He makes it sound as though he is the Captain Marvel to have saved Malaysia and that he had the right formula for keeping Malaysia strong.

He should realise that he is no longer relevant and the people are no longer in awe of him.

Yes, there will be tears when he dies (please hurry) but many won't really mourn his passing. These will be PR tears.

I suspect there will be many who will piss over his grave (perhaps figuratively).

  2. Jibby oso boast that he convinced Bullyland to import 8 trillion ringgit from Malaysia. Like that PAS Plantation Minister who boast he got 82 billion Turkish investment after one visit. No shame.

Guan Eng denies Najib’s claim on China’s US$2 trillion imports
    Bernama -June 11, 2018

KUALA LUMPUR: Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng today denied former prime minister Najib Razak’s claims that China had committed to import goods worth US$2 trillion (about RM8 trillion) as part of the two pipeline agreements worth RM9.4 billion.

Lim said nothing of the sort was documented.

“All officials asked have stated that these claims by Najib are untrue,” he said.

There was no mention of the various “commitments” made by China as claimed by Najib in any of the Cabinet papers presented in 2016 and 2017, which approved the Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd (SSER) projects, Lim said in a statement today.

“Unless, of course, that there are certain hidden Cabinet papers or ‘red’ Cabinet minutes that no one has access to except the former prime minister himself,” he said.

Najib, who was also the former finance minister, issued a statement on June 5, defending his administration’s award of two petrochemical and gas pipeline projects worth RM9.4 billion to China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB) by SSER.

“Najib deliberately did not focus on the principal questions surrounding the RM9.4 billion pipeline scandal but instead focused on alleged purported benefits to the country from signing this RM9.4 billion contract,” Lim said.

Najib claimed that he and China’s Premier Li Keqiang had witnessed the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the pipeline projects along with other projects while in Beijing on May 14, 2017.

China had apparently also committed to import goods worth US$2 trillion over the next five years from Malaysia, invest up to US$150 billion in Malaysia and offer 10,000 places for training and studies in various institutes in China as part of the pipeline deal.
