Best political statement 2019 (13)

Malaysakini - MIC disappointed with PAS in Zakir Naik debacle (extracts):

[MIC President] Vigneswaran criticised Pakatan Harapan leaders who blamed the previous BN government for the introduction of khat or Jawi calligraphy lessons in the Standard Four Bahasa Malaysia syllabus.

"Don’t blame BN. BN’s decision to introduce Jawi (in schools) was only at the policy stage."

"If the rakyat cannot accept it, just cancel the policy. It’s not hard to withdraw a government policy."

"It isn't an act which must be taken to Parliament, you can do so in cabinet."

MIC had been sneeringly known as the 'Must I Come' party during BN days, when its leaders were a bunch of 'clowns', though with some respect I dare say the previous MIC president, Dr Subramaniam Sathasivam, had been quiet a good leader and politician.

But in general I thought the MIC leaders were jokes, thus I've seldom said any kind words about them (with exception of Dr Subramaniam Sathasivam).

But I have to deem Vigneswaran's statements (mentioned above and reproduced below) as the BEST political statement thus far for 2019:

"Don’t blame BN. BN’s decision to introduce Jawi (in schools) was only at the policy stage."

"If the rakyat cannot accept it, just cancel the policy. It’s not hard to withdraw a government policy. It isn't an act which must be taken to Parliament, you can do so in cabinet."

Wakakaka, the Pakatan mongrels nowadays just blame the BN for their own perfidious action, believing we are gullible guppies. Eff you.

  1. Vignes told a white lie. BN had ALREADY IMPLEMENTED the teaching of Jawi since 2013, it was not at “policy stage only” in 2019.

And he also failed to mention that after Wee Ka Siong who was the Deputy Education Minister implemented it, the successor Deputy Education Minister was MIC’s Kamalanathan of “UMNO Hand Kisser” fame that KT so eloquently wrote about in 2010.

And today the recently-Deep-State-Virus-infected minister Syed Saddiq has shown more alarming symptoms of being infected by the Pied Piper Zakar Naik.

Calling parents or voters stupid or proud is a no-no, calling them stupidly proud, well, that’s a higher level altogether, almost as high as Zakar Naik. There will be backlash, from the local Indian community.

Minister accords ‘bodoh sombong’ label for groups threatening school boycott

Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (above) has deemed groups threatening to get vernacular children to skip school in protest over the Jawi-khat issue as “bodoh sombong”.

"Bodoh sombong" is a Malay term which can be loosely translated to mean foolishly arrogant.

  2. Oh I forgot we mustn’t mention what the BN government did in 2013, but we must highlight ad nauseam what Toonsie did when he was Education Minister and PM 20, 30, 40 years ago.

There is this vacuum of time between 2003-2018 where all BN screwups are forgotten. Almost like our school history textbooks where certain events are scrubbed out altogether.
