The MH 17 embarrassment

From FMT:

Australia hits back at Mahathir over MH17 comments

Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne (AFP pic)

would have been sweeter if Labor had won the last election and Malaysian (Sabah) born Penny Wong is the Foreign Minister, wakakaka

even without the FM post, if she had remained in Sabah, would she have achieved what she has in Oz?

PETALING JAYA: Canberra has rebuked Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad for questioning the findings of a probe into the downing of Malaysia Airlines’ Flight MH17 and insisted that Russia was “directly involved” in it.

Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne said her government had full confidence in the “impartiality, independence and professionalism of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT)”, which also comprised representatives from Malaysia.

The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Payne as saying that this was why the Australian government “moved decisively with the Netherlands” to notify Russia that they held it responsible under international law.

“I note that at the JIT’s recent press conference on June 19, the Malaysian representative to the JIT reaffirmed the thorough nature of JIT’s investigation and evidence, as well as Malaysia’s support for the JIT’s conclusions on the four suspects announced,” the daily quoted her as saying.

Payne was referring to Malaysian prosecutor Mohamad Hanafiah Zakaria, who said the findings were “based on extensive investigations and also legal research”.

Hanafiah also said that Malaysia supported the JIT’s findings.

Mahathir had earlier this week called the move by Dutch-led investigators to charge three Russians and a Ukrainian with murder for the 2014 disaster “ridiculous” and “politically motivated” against Moscow.

He also said that Putrajaya was “very unhappy” as from the very beginning it became a political issue on how to accuse Russia of wrongdoing. He also said that Malaysia wanted proof of Russia’s involvement as there has been only “hearsay”.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has since slammed Mahathir for creating “confusion” by criticising the decision to charge the four people. Rutte also said he would contact the Malaysian government about Mahathir’s comments.

Mahathir has a long hatred of the USA/West which might have started when the US, particularly its former Vice President Al Gore, began to openly support Anwar Ibrahim. If he had considered the USA his bĂȘte noire much earlier, then I stand to be corrected.

I recall Al Gore was VP USA from 1993 to 2001, and coincidentally Anwar was in deep shit in 1998 to 1999 when he was sacked by Mahathir and jailed in April that latter year. So there was a lot of connectivity between Gore and the Democratic Party with Anwar Ibrahim who was then considered by the West (USA, Australia, UK) as a prisoner of conscience, framed and politically incarcerated by the infamous Dictator.

The dislike was mutual but Mahathir's notorious hatred was obviously far more long-lasting, wakakaka.

above 3 people the least loved by Mahathir
wakakaka

Paradoxically, Mahathir went to great lengths to have a photo-op with George Bush Jnr who became president USA after the Clinton-Gore years. He even admitted that "someone" paid Jack Abramoff, an American Jewish lobbyist, millions ($$$) to achieve the photo-ops with Dubya, wakakaka.

I wonder who in Malaysia sponsored Mahathir's photo-ops with Dubya, or had been stupid enough to do that?

Today, true to his anti-Anglo hatred, he has just eff-ed the Americans and Europeans kaukau by swiping the rug off from underneath their feet in the current affair of MH17.

What do you make of Mahathir's cold-hot-cold treatment of the USA (and an extent, Europe and Australia)?

I see him as man who yearns for respect from the West but who seems to get the wrong end of the stick from them because of his racist dictatorial behaviour which via a vicious cycle becomes in turn even more racist and dictatorial with lukewarm reception from them.

By contrast, Anwar Ibrahim (then as DPM) moved smoothly and suavely amongst the Westerners, and was even greeted in the USA with a 19-gun salute [those against him, wakakaka, accused the USA of providing Anwar, a mere DPM, with a 21-gun salute]

How much more must he have hated Anwar? Wakakaka.

Hooked nose, Buy British last, Recalcitrancy, MH370 'seized' by covert US 'black ops' remote control and 'flown' to Diego Garcia or Atlantis (depending on your preference), Look East, etc ...

... and now MH17.

Thus you can understand why he went overboard with his treatment of the OIC, where he gained some respect(???) for his crude crass condemnation of Jews.

  1. Really rich of Ah Mok to be using ammunition to hentam Mahathir.
When he himself subscribes to the theory that Russia is innocent, and the prosecutions launched in Holland are part of Western machinations against Russia.

  2. Wakakakaka…

Mamak had considered the USA his bĂȘte noire!!!

Wow… then WHY mamak has to buy his way using the lobbyists to arrange for a meeting with the then United States President George W. Bush in 2002?

Ooop… could it be different POTUS carried different mamak's liking?

Embarassment? Dignity? Principles? Since when anyone has that rare commodity in Malaysia.

Malaysia has so much sodomizing among politicians, religious teachers, boarding schools students, training camps and institutions etc as a norm but declaring to the world, we don't have even a single LGBT in Malaysia.

    So, Which is more important?

Malaysian palm oil exports ban by EU affecting the country's economy or condemn some Russians or Ukrianians for an accidental shooting down of an aeroplane?

Or maybe can get some cheap Russian fighter jets or new market for palm oil purchase from Russia since Malaysia so friendly?

Unfortunately or fortunately, TDM does not have family members, friends on the ill fated plane. Otherwise, he'll agree with the JIT.

  4. I think it's not fair for Toonsie to condemn the Jews. The problem is the Torah (Jewish Holy Book) says Allah gave the land of Israel to the Jews (His People) for eternity, and all other people living there like the Palestinians are pendatangs. We Malaysians, of all people, must surely understand this concept right? If the pendatangs in Malaysia commit all sorts of rebellion against the bumiputras I am sure the response will be swift and decisive. I surely would not want that.

  6. Just to switch the names around a bit to expose the guilty.

Ah Mok has a long hatred of the USA/West, and sucking up to the Soviets/ Russians.

True to his anti-Anglo hatred, he has ascribed the MH 17 investigation conclusion to a Western conspiracy , and the Russians are innocent.

His using the Western criticism against Mahathir over his views on MH17 as a weapon is just an exercise in opportunism and hypocrisy.
