Dr M surprised by outbursts over khat issue
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has expressed surprise at the outbursts over news of the introduction of khat in the Year Four syllabus next year.
He said the matter had actually been decided in 2012 and the topic was included in a school textbook.
“Khat will be taught as an arts subject. Calligraphy. This was decided by the then government in 2012. I do not know why it is an issue now.
“Nobody made noise back then. This is no different than what was (discussed) before.”
Dr Mahathir said he suspected that certain quarters, including politicians and a newspaper were attempting to use the issue to drive DAP into a corner.
“They just want to test DAP. If DAP agrees with the implementation, they will say DAP is being controlled. If otherwise, they will say DAP is controlling the government.”

Khat (in 2019) is to be taught in Bahasa Malaysia for vernacular schools.
It's not the same as the BN's policy. That's why the DAP gurkhas have been raising Cain, that the introduction of khat is either a sinister sneaky stealthy way to introduce Islamic studies to non-Muslim students or to deliberately kacau their precious hours on Bahasa Malaysia.

Talking about cats being “outed”, the other magician’s trick is diversion (an art form this blog practices) ie if there is something you don’t want the audience to pay attention to you create a distraction somewhere else, the real cat currently being exposed is RPK...at the SRC trial...
The link between Jibby and RPK has finally been confirmed. By no less than Jibby’s office boy, the ex-FM 2 (Husni) himself via Jibby’s principal private secretary.
Husni’s no angel but it is now clear that RPK had a link to Jibby, and probably still does.

(The Edge Markets) – Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah shed some light today over why he resigned from his posts in Umno and Barisan Nasional (BN), after resigning from his position as second finance minister in June 2016.
Following his resignation, he then met with Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz at Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Nazri told him that “whatever happens to Najib, it’s out of our control” but added that the former tourism and culture minister wanted Umno and BN to remain.

“So you formed the idea that Datuk Seri Najib was behind the woman’s report after your speech in Parliament?” asked Shafee.
“I didn’t form an idea. I know he was behind it,” responded the former minister.
He went home after Parliament and Tan Sri Shukry Salleh, who was then the principal private secretary of Najib, paid a visit to his house at 10pm the same day.
“He told me that Najib has discussed with someone — I can’t mention the name — and had contacted [blogger] Raja Petra [Kamarudin]. He said ‘they will attack you tomorrow’. What happened first was they attacked my son (Khalid Ahmad Husni). He and the chairman of NPE (New Pantai Expressway Sdn Bhd) attended one Economic Action Council meeting.

There will be a new subject in vernacular schools starting next year.....called “Civil Disobedience”. It’s part of the BM syllabus, only 3 pages long and won’t be assessed.

Now, either TDM does not know what his Minister of Education is doing and why from being an Art subject is now a language subject (BM) which causes such an uproar or pretending to confuse and tone down the controversy after he knows his political objective has been achieved ie Protector of the Malay/Islam/Language to the Malay audience.
Knowing the background of the Minister of Education and the existence of Deep State players in the MOE, isn't it clear that besides politiking, this attempt at stealthy proselytizing of religion via a compulsory language subject like BM has been going on since BN days and now continuing via the PH Govt.
What's next? Art of praying also included next in BM language subject?
2012 policy was introduced by Mullah Najib, accepted by his MCA dogs, and acquiesced by the MCA-controlled Chinese MSM Newspaper dogs. Not a peep from Tay Tian Yan.

Now, Mahathir needs to be clear that the PH Government was not meant to simply continue BN policies.
