BEST political statement 2018 (19)

NST - 'Pretty cheap stunt', Latheefa Koya slams taking donation for Tabung Harapan from a child (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR: A PKR leader today took to Twitter in a brief posting criticising Tabung Harapan Malaysia.

Member of the party's Central Leadership Council Latheefa Koya claimed that the fund was 'politically charged'.

"Tabung Harapan is a politically charged fund. So to get a 12 year old to handover his piggy bank is ridiculous and a pretty cheap stunt," Latheefa said.

She ended the tweet with the hashtags #startgoverning and #enoughofgimmicks.

While she made no specific mention on the child who handed his piggy bank, earlier today DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang received a donation for Tabung Harapan from 12-year-old Ervin Devadasan.

It was reported that Ervin had saved up the money for six months to buy a drum set but changed his mind and decided to donate to the fund instead.

Latheefa has been spot on, that Lim KS must be a pretty cheap scoundrel to drag a 12-year old boy into his son's publicity stunt of Tabung Harapan which, even if Mahathir's mythical RM1 Trillion debt is not a myth, will NOT make a dent to the national debt.

I don't even have to explain what Latheefa has been trying to pointedly say, other than to deem her tweet as the BEST political statement thus far for 2018, to wit:

#startgoverning and #enoughofgimmicks

Wakakaka, indeed the Pakatan government, especially and in particular the Finance Minister, should s
tart governing and cease his gimmickry as we have had enough of his lil' Boy Blue bullsh*t.

And he has been abetted by his sly swarmy smug father, the man who has conveniently forgotten his 30 years of rant against cronyism, expensive national follies and missing billions (which efforts we had for years devotedly supported), to now exploit-publicise a 12-year old well-intentioned innocent schoolboy breaking open his saving piggy bank in what has been just a political stunt.

My verdict:

Young Ervin Devadasan does have a heart of gold
But the Traitor has had his dark soul so easily sold
The sad story of a treacherous man must be told
So that our youth knows a dark evil heart so cold

  1. This is what I REALLY love about the New Malaysia, where component parties can criticise each other and still belong to the same coalition. If one party disagrees with what another party is doing there is room to express their opinions openly. Tomorrow LKS is still welcome at Lathefa's Raya Open House. Special satay for him.

When one party was raping and pillaging the people via 1MDB the other parties were silent as a church (sorry mosque) mouse (sorry tikus).

This open criticism just didn't happen in BN. That was why BN is now in coma. ROS and Court about to pull the plug. Past leader put to pasture playing golf. New leader has no clue what to do have to ask TDM for advice. Khairy said he regret tak buka mulut. He said he should have spoken out to the leader but he didn't. Other component parties kept quiet, not daring to speak up at Cabinet meetings, believing whatever Mr MONEYBAGS and MONEYMAGNET said. Trust Me, he said. And they did. Padan muka semua.

  4. Unbelievable Statement by Najib:

“I’m not party to the yacht, the paintings. I’ve never seen those paintings whatsoever”. I was not aware of these purchases. This was done without my knowledge. I would never authorised 1MDB funds to be used for any of these items. I’ve been in government so long, I know what’s right and what’s wrong,” he said in the interview held at a luxurious sea-facing private villa in a five-star hotel on the island of Langkawi. He blamed 1MDB’s board, saying it was incumbent upon them to tell him if something was wrong.

But then Najib also complained about the raid at his family's house:
“.....police personnel helped themselves to food and chocolates in the refrigerator”.

So our Finance Minister had no clue when Billions went missing under his nose. But he knows exactly how much Godiva chocolate is in his fridge.

    1. So...the market peak in February did not price in then unknown and undisclosed liabilities of the Malaysian government.
Now that they are exposed, the market has dropped.
The same forces are at work when a Corporation makes public unexpected or previously undisclosed bad business news.

That is not a problem in itself. Transparency is necessary.
What is key is the country must work out a plan how to reverse the bad situation.

This resulted in a worldwide recall, cost of refunds, loss of customer goodwill and trust , writing off inventory....profits for 2016/ 2017 were badly affected.

Did Samsung go out of business ? No.

It disclosed the extent of the problems to the public, took the hit, launched excellent new phones...and today its Stock is performing better than ever.

Malaysians are well aware of UMNO's Cover-up culture. Problems are swept under the carpet...everything is OK.
To be brutally frank, it's Malay culture of avoiding open conflict. What you don't know won't hurt you.

  10. [ Lim Guan Eng says that RM3 billion was stolen from TRX in order to service 1MDB’s debt.

He also says that the govt will now need to bail out TRX with an additional RM2.8 billion in order to complete the project which would then make a profit as it will bring in at least RM7.6 billion in sales.

Only the uneducated and those without any sense of logic will believe our dear Finance Minister as he is purely politicizing to mislead the people.

It is important that everyone knows that the TRX project is 100% owned by 1MDB and 1MDB is 100% owned by Ministry of Finance. Let us be clear.

As everyone knows, all of 1MDB’s fund were borrowed. That includes funds used to develop the TRX project. When you borrow funds, of course you need to service the loan – which is what 1MDB did.

What is wrong with that?  That is what any property developer does too when they borrow from the banks to develop a project. They will still have to service the loan during the development phase of the project.

When the project is completed, the developers will then make a profit that will cover all costs including the cost to service the loan.

This is exactly what Guan Eng said when he said the TRX project will eventually make a profit.

How then can it be called a bail-out when in the end, you make a profit – especially since you have always owned that project 100%.

Are you saying you are bailing out yourself to you can make a profit?

By Guan Eng saying we will make a profit on TRX basically proves that Arul Kanda didn’t lie when he said that 1MDB can take care of its own debts and still make a profit over time.

So, not all RM30 billion had lesap., There is still the much bigger Bandar Malaysia project that is worth at least RM20 billion as well as the multi-billion ayer hitam and Pulau Indah land. All in all, 1MDB’s current debt will be fully covered by all these appreciating asset sales.

This again proves that lumping in all those contingent liabilities which included 1MDB’s borrowings to make that RM1 trillion national debt figure is tipu!

Please… Foreign investors can see this even if millions of ordinary Malaysians cannot. That is why they keep pulling out money from Malaysia every single day as they know our finance minister prefers to scare the people and play politics in all his statements instead of managing our country’s finances and giving confidence to investors] ~ Raggie Jessy

  11. PKR is the most farked up party in the PH coalition. Everyone in that party seems to be on some kind of attention seeking mode to outdo one another.

Their party president is just a lame duck who can’t reign in their members. Giggling like a schoolgirl behind her kipas, she is contented to idle away her political career, handed to her on a silver platter during the early reformasi days, seat warming for her man. It is ironic to select her as DPM on the basis of her soulmate alone.

The country got its first glimmer of hope after decades and surely it has to mean something greater for everyone than just fulfilling one man’s PM wet dream.

As for the Tabung Harapan, no one is under compulsion to give. People are willing to give because it is their means of contribution towards the country. To each their own.

When a developer borrows from the bank, he usually make sure that the fund is tied to that project. The syndicated banks also make sure the fund is released ONLY for activities related to that project.

The money raised for 1MDB was quickly been channeled to other activities outside the proposed 1MDB projects. Hence, when the 1MDB projects started, there were ZILCH fund to be utilized!

  13. Selangor MB appointment, as they say is trite-law. Sudah settle. Sultan dah bagi. Everyone happy as can be, except the loser. Move On.

LKS is now so excited. Like a small boy with a new toy. Previous job: Save Malaysia, Mission Accomplished. Next Mission: Save UMNO.

All eyes now on their elections, and the KJ-KL debate. Susan Loone will be given front seat. No bodyguards allowed. Zahid should stay out unless he wants to embarrass himself on TV. Gobind ready to telecast him shitting on stage if he dares show up. Malaysians want to know what KuLi, who is twice the age of Khairy, will do (or Nearly Do), to save UMNO. Khairy wants to explain his radical surgical procedure to remove all organs (warlords): heart, liver, lungs, brain, testicles, even kukuchiow (no more shiok sendiri or reproduction possible) and create an empty shell called Ultimate Malay No Organ party. Then he will repopulate by inviting unhappy Pribumi, PKR (wth even PAS) members back to fill up this empty shell. Dr Idris Ahmad is on top of the list, he can be Opposition MB in Selangor. Latheefah too is welcome.

    Hah, pandai budak ni.

KL's strategy? Same Same But Different. Same Organs cuma Tukar Cara.

But alas the Sword of Damocles hangs over UMNO's neck. Haniff Kathri is holding the lever. KuNan the Secretary General never expected anyone to actually look up Clause 10.17 which doesn't exist. KL and KJ must explain what they are going to do about this sword when it comes down and UMNO loses its head. But KJ will say it doesn't matter. It has no brains anyway. And also how they will convince Amar Singh to return that RM114 million in 26 foreign currencies and in whose house they will keep it in. Langgak Golf or Damansara Heights?

Bring It On. I'm Lovin It.
