A meeting place to exchange views, no matter how different or diverse these may be. Keeping these civil and courteous would be appreciated
Methinks a JV car project with Indonesia may work in the long term with Indonesia's fast growing middle class as a mass market. TDM facination with cars must have been due to his childhood days when he feels enamoured with his father (Headmaster) having the only car around.Wakakakakaka Old man living his childhood dreams all over.
Everyone should have a second chance, what else is taxpayers money for?
Indonesia looked at car industry at Thailand and Malaysia. Which do you think they prefer to follow? National car project won't serve its interest, only Mahathir's.
Public transport exists alongside personal transport. Cars are here to stay for the foreseeable future future...for the same reason why Personal Computers and personal mobile phones are such a success. They provide personal choice and personal control. However , A very likely scenario for the future is that the level of private car ownership will drop. Convenient, cost efficient ride-sharing services mean that for many occasional users, it may not be worth the capital expense of buying a car.My usual arrangement in KL and PJ nowadays is to use the MRT/LRT and Grab to get to and from the Station.
If at first you don't succeed, try and try again, especially if it is with taxpayer's money.
TDM is doing business development work for a 50.1% Malaysian owned company which is Proton. Why not use his cables to access Indonesia. This is what Geely would have wanted to do anyway, ie enter a 230 million market but Geely don't have access to President Joko like TDM does. I don't think they bought 49.9% share in Proton just to sell cars in a 30 million market. Geely is a global player, they own Lotus, Volvo and nearly 10% of Daimler, manufacturer of Mercedez Benz. By doing this TDM is helping Malaysian suppliers stay in business.
Mahathir is not looking for a Indon tie up with Proton. Far from it, he's looking for a tie up with his coming-soon National Car 2.0.
this is a step backwards if he goes fossil, should be seeking Elon musk
Pssst...Petronas Towers no longer the tallest...wink wink...to the most manja nonagenarian in the world...and the idiots who indulge him.
Najib's PNB 118 will eclipse them when its finished but Mahathir will probably build a 218 storey tower to top Najib.
Every day more Najis shit.https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2018/06/26/trx-city-lodges-police-report-on-fund-misappropriation/Now TRX says 1MDB misappropriated RM 3 Billion of its funds.Even though TRX is a 1MDB subsidiary, it is a separate legal entity. 1MDB Cannot treat TRX funds like it's piggy bank.
Since only now this cheebye kaytee talks about public transportation....i wonder why anil netto of penang....lagi accountant....lagi aliran lang knows nothing about kaytee....I also scratch my head......hahahaha
That anil netto is too much of a pommie wannabe - can't think anything new than what's been done by that sun-set empire.
