Beware claws of leopard

Ku Li, often touted as the 'Best PM Malaysia never had' (though those in the know believe that title should go to the late Tun Dr Ismail) believes a leopard (Mahathir) never changes its spots (character).

Berita Daily reported:
Mahathir Mohamad as the new prime minister of a possible Pakatan Harapan government may not change his ways in ensuring freedom for democratic institutions, said veteran Umno leader Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah today.

“I wish I had a crystal ball. He was there for 22 years. Do you think leopard changes its spots?” he quipped when asked whether Mahathir would implement reforms if the opposition comes into power after GE14.

During Mahathir’s administration, various institutions were muzzled and tamed to toe the line to the wishes of the executive. Media and the judiciary were among affected institutions.

The Gua Musang MP also said that Mahathir would be facing hurdles to be Pakatan’s prime minister even though Pakatan agreed to nominate its chairman as the interim prime minister.

Ku Li himself suffered from Mahathir's Machiavellian manipulations, but we won't re-visit those as we know them too well, including collateral damages.

    3. Anwar and Mahathir is blended in Azmin's personality. His popularity is faltering. The days of PKR are over.

    4. to me is fine, my hope is a 2 party sys, which person or politician could achieve that is not really my concern. the main reason i pick pkr is solely bec both dap n pas is at 2 end of the extreme, i dun think they could gain the acceptance of the general mass. n i still hold the belief that the two party system could only realised via umno, or to be precise, those ex umno. its the political reality in msia.
