Study of Mahathir-ism & parallelism of 1987 & 2019

Background

1987 - UMNO split into two opposing groups, commonly referred to as Team A led by Mahathir, and Team B led by Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah and Musa Hitam [from Wiki]

2019 - Pakatan and PKR split due to PM-transition issue between Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim

Burning Issue

1987 - Education Minister's decision to appoint some 100 senior assistants and supervisors to Chinese-medium primary schools. Concerns were raised by Chinese politicians and organizations that those appointed were Chinese who were not Chinese-educated, implying that students and parents might be forced to use English or Malay to communicate with the school personnel. Chinese educationalist groups contended that the move would limit the usage of Chinese in these schools [from Wiki]

Basically, they were school administrators unqualified for Chinese schools.

IGP launched Ops Lalang to arrest DJZ leaders and supporters

2019 - Education Minister's decision to implement Khat-Jawi lessons in vernacular schools which causes suspicions and fears amongst Chinese educationists and students' parents.

Basically, the topic is not appropriate for building a strong base in science, maths, economics, technology for Chinese schools.

IGP cancelled DJZ Congress through court order

Parties Involved

1987
a. Education Minister
b. DJZ
c. Malay ultra groups threatened violence
d. Police
e. PM Mahathir

2019
a. Education Minister
b. DJZ
c. Malay ultra groups threatened violence
d. Police
e. PM Mahathir

Preventing Action

1987 - Ops Lalang where police arrested mainly opposition leaders, NGO leaders, press leaders

2019 - diluted Ops Lalang(?) where police obtained court order to prevent DJZ from holding a congress (& with potential for full Ops Lalang)

Common Denominator 1987 & 2019?

PM Mahathir who faced/faces problems vis-a-vis his power, position & political continuity in both 1987 and 2019.

  1. These stupid dunggus do not know nuts from marbles, yet they want to teach their mothers and grandmothers how to suck balls.Mahathir,Anwar or Mazlee as education minister, the only good they can teach is to go suck Donald Trump's mini balls.Even Melania said that they are minis.

  2. The main difference between 1987 and today.

1987 Mahathir had an indefinite expectancy to hold on to power, and he had every intention to stay on in power another 20 or 30 years.

1987, UMNO was all powerful, even though it had internal fissures.

2019 - in 20 years, Mahathir will be just dust.
Pribumi is the weakest party, which has just been trounced in the latest by-elections.

When was this decision to include khat calligraphy made?

The introduction of khat calligraphy was decided during the revision of the curriculum (KSSR) in 2014.

Jibby was PM in 2014, not Toonsie. So the parallel universe theory falls apart.

But you got one FACT right: It was the Education Minister in 2019 who decided to implemented the decision, not the Deputy Minister, so Teoh Nie Ching is not to blame, so lay off her ha ha ha....

  4. Syabas to the SEKAT conference organisers today, they totally defused, disarmed and neutralised the Malay NGO groups who were making all kinds of threats and overtures. SEKAT basically called their bluff and invited them into the conference where it was squeaky bum and red face time for the protesters.

    Well done.

Varsity exam question calls Zakir Naik ‘an icon’

    FMT Reporters -December 29, 2019

PETALING JAYA: An uproar has broken out on social media over a university examination question which appears to praise controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik by calling him an “icon in the Islamic world”.

The question appears in an examination paper on Ethnic Relations.

A screenshot of the question was posted on Facebook by MIC vice-chief Sivarrajh Chandran.

The question reads: “Zakir Naik is one of the icons of the Islamic world. He is very active in spreading true Islam and following the Quran and Sunnah of Rasulullah SAW. He is able to reason and to answer every question that is asked to him. However, in Malaysia, he is no longer allowed to deliver his preaching. In your opinion, as a Malaysian, why does this happen?”

Students are given a multiple-choice answer with these reasons:

    1) Malaysians do not bother to receive information

    2) Malaysians were sensitive and feel threatened for no reason

    3) Malaysians just follow the crowd without verifying any information

    4) Malaysians are ignorant about their own religion.

Sivarrajh had questioned why such a question, deemed to be insensitive to people of different races, had been included in an examination for a module that was meant to foster racial and religious understanding.

  6. But why did Pakatan government have to implement a bad policy (as yet unimplemented by BN even though policy was in 2014) in 2019? Shows the evil intent of Pakatan government

    2. No!

      Dogs r not the issue.

The issue at hand IS the K9 caretaker!

Dogs, by nature can ONLY be easily enticed by the right inducements. The K9 caretaker, like u, is the go between amongst the K9 & the string pulling puppeteera.
