  3. John Lennon's video was made a the height of the anti-Vietnam war protests. It was overly negative, and a reflection of those times.

John Lennon was no saint, and in reality a very unpleasant person.

Today, more people have climbed out of absolute poverty than ever in human history.
For millions of people, many incurable or unmanageable illnesses that used to lead to an early death are now eminently treatable.
A large part of the world is at peace, and people live longer, healthier lives, with better quality of life.

Much more needs to be done for the millions who still have not felt these improvements, but don't get caught in the spiralling negativity.

    1. I have to say I don't know John Lennon as well as you, wakakaka. But when I looked at the scene of war, innocents killed, dispossessed people and abandoned children, I dare say it's still happening - John Lennon's message is still very valid

    2. There will always be war, and famine.
Negativity is when you look at only the bad side, positivity is when you look at how much has improved..to me, for a huge number of people around the world, things are a lot better than they were in the 1960s.

For the "dispossed" and "innocents" it is often in the eye of the beholder.
Ktemoc has no sympathy for the Rohingyas and don't regard then as innocent.

I have little sympathy for the Palestinians, as I consider most of their troubles self-influcted by the leaders they trust and support, like Hamas, and their propensity for terrorist activities.

  4. Will Muslims be allowed to watch this video? What do the Muftis say? Will their faith be shaken, their minds become confused and there be mass conversion out of Islam?

And can non-Muslims wish their Muslim friends Selamat Hari Raya AidilFitri or even Assalamualaikum (peace be upon you) to their Muslim friends? Will their wishes be rejected?

KUALA Lumpur Archbishop Julian Leow Beng Kim expressed hope for common sense to prevail among religious leaders to strengthen ties and unity among Malaysians.

“It will indeed be a sad day in the history of Malaysia when we cannot wish ‘Merry Christmas’ to Christians or ‘Selamat Hari Deepavali’ to the Hindus or Wesak to Buddhists,” he said at the annual Christian Federation of Malaysia’s (CFM) Christmas Hi-Tea today.
