Mahathir jangan buat ta'tahu

FMT:

Don’t drag out succession issue, Ramasamy warns PH

According to PH consensus, Dr Mahathir Mohamad is to hand over power to Anwar Ibrahim although no time line has been given for the transition

DAP’s P Ramasamy has called for a speedy resolution to the handover of power from Dr Mahathir Mohamad to Anwar Ibrahim, warning that Pakatan Harapan (PH) will otherwise continue to suffer following the latest in its string of by-election defeats in Tanjung Piai last month.

In a statement, he said PH’s inability to resolve the transition issue had given the impression of “powerful vested interests” who want Mahathir to complete the full term as prime minister.

“The inconsistency on the power transition seems to have deleterious effects on PH as a whole,” he added.

“Amanah and PPBM have lost their Malay support. PKR is terribly divided. The non-Malays, particularly the Chinese, are deserting DAP.

“Whether PH can survive to win the next general election seems to depend on the succession matter.”

PH was soundly defeated in the Tanjung Piai by-election on Nov 16, losing to Barisan Nasional by over 15,000 votes.

The coalition has lost four of the nine by-elections held since it swept to power in the May 9 polls last year.

Ramasamy, who is Penang deputy chief minister II, said the “collateral damage” to the coalition could not be averted by holding post-mortems on PH’s defeat in Tanjung Piai or improving the performance of ministers and leaders.

“The longer the succession matter is dragged out without any resolution in sight, the longer PH is going to suffer.

“The leaders of PH component parties should not be in a state of delusion, as if it is only a matter of time before they win back the hearts and minds of the people.

  1. Since KT keep hantam-ing Toonsie I am obligated to point out (yet again) that it takes a mere DAP assemblyman to be the itchy rash in Toonsie's side that won't go away. And of course LKS and Guanee will remain silent, no reprimand for scolding Toonsie, quietly pat this assemblyman on the back. "Good Job". Silence Means Consent.

    2. And how does KT know Guanee never tell Toonsie off privately but not in public because a powerful FM confronting the PM would spook the markets and economy?

    3. from Guan Eng's own words and actions since Day 1 - explaining why he kept at criticising Najib, being a directive from Mahathir

    4. Silent on financing Car 3? Was there a need for the powerful FM to say anything in public against the PM that would spook the economy and market? That's the job of the external opposition like MCA.

Guanee's annual budget was doing the talking (or rather screaming).....How much did Guanee budget for Car 3 in:

      2019? Zero.

      2020? Zero.

That says it all. And Toonsie can do nothing.

Redzuan had to re-allocate a measly 20 mil from another budget previously given elsewhere which was easily detected by an opposition-led PAC. Now Redzuan/Bersatu has to explain if there was a mis-use of a previously approved budget.

During BN/Jibby’s time the “cari makan” PAC Chairman would have overruled and silenced its members like Tony Pua, like what happened for 1MDB, resulting in losses of tens of billions.
