Mukhriz lost his "Malayness"?

Malaysiakini - 'Insolent' Mukhriz must apologise to ruler, demands Johor Umno Youth (extracts):

Johor Umno Youth has criticised Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir for his purported refusal to greet Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.

A video recording of the incident, which took place when Mukhriz paid his last respects to Sultan of Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah at Istana Abu Bakar yesterday, has since gone viral on social media.

Johor Umno Youth chief Mohd Hairi Mad Shah described Mukhriz's action as insolent and demanded that he apologises to the Johor ruler.

He also claimed that the Bersatu deputy president, who is the son of Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, had lost his “Malayness".

“...The attitude displayed was childish and ill-mannered. What more, when it is a menteri besar who does this."

Well, what can I say?

  2. Is it Malay custom for a man to shake hands with another man's wife? Well, I respect TMJ and he has the answer...but I wonder of Johor UMNO Youth approved.

Responding to the unsavoury comments in true TMJ fashion, the southern crown prince uploaded a satirical video, taking a hit at all those who insisted that he should have not shook the hands of an unrelated female

In the clip, the Johor prince is seen walking towards his car when an identified woman walks up to him and offers to shake his hand.

Instead of taking her hand immediately, he then puts on a large glove, resembling the hand of Hulk, and only then proceeds with the handshake.

"We are simply human beings and therefore should not judge others especially on petty things. Islam is about love and respect and not about judging others especially when it involves hatred," added TMJ in a posting on the JOHOR Southern Tigers' Facebook page.

There are a few individuals who are trying to be an ustaz or the state mufti on Facebook.

To me, when it comes to religion we are nothing compared to the Almighty. Therefore only Allah can judge us and not human beings.

Although I am born to be a ruler, I am also just a human being. I have no rights to judge whether Allah will accept you or otherwise. Unless you rape people or hurt children, kill people, steal or take from the needy.

Here is some honesty that some of you hypocrites are not used to because too many of you are used to pretentious people in your life here.

The outspoken prince then stressed that he will continue to follow the customs and traditions that he was raised with and not randomly follow the ways and practices of the Arab community

I don't pretend to wear a jubah but behind closed doors be addicted to drugs and neither am I a gambling junkie. I do not steal from my people and I always speak the truth.

I have the courage to speak what others dare not because of their own personal interest and with me, what you see is what you get.

I always strive to be as real and transparent as I can with my people because as I've mentioned numerous times its better to be hated for being honest and real than be loved and be a fake and a hypocrite.

Is what you see really what you get?
    BY PHILIP GOLINGAITHE STAR

Think a recent video and photograph are proof of a cooling relationship? Think again. THE opening scene of the video clip that has gone maliciously viral is dramatic. You see half a dozen police outriders in front of a metallic green Range Rover. Behind the moving luxury SUV (sports utility vehicle) are two escort vehicles with the doors open as bodyguards are ready to pounce if there is any sign of danger.
Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar is seen coming out of the Range Rover. The Sultan of Johor shakes hands with those waiting for his arrival. He then looks at Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and walks to a multipurpose hall.

That video clip was shared on my Facebook and WhatsApp timeline. On Facebook, the video is captioned, “Sultan Johor langsung tak salam Najib semasa ketibaan Tuanku ke upacara Majlis Perasmian Forest City 2016... kenapa?? (Sultan of Johor refuses to shake hands with Najib when Tuanku arrives at the Forest City 2016 launching ceremony... why??).”
On WhatsApp, the video was shared with the message, “Take note Johor Sultan did not shake Najib’s hand at the launching of Forest City on Sunday ....”

Also shared with the video was a photograph of the Sultan and Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Khaled Nordin talking to each other at the main stage of the multi-billion ringgit mixed development project launch. On their right was Najib, who looked as if he was ignored by the Sultan and Mentri Besar.

  4. What Malayness is the blogger saying?

Is it not shaking hands, bowing, nodding the head, saluting or like Taoists praying to Heaven minus the joss sticks style (Menyembah) to Royalties who are around?

Muhkriz did not pay the respects required to some Royalties present and he has now apologised which he rightly should as a Malaysian living under The Constitution which provides for the position of Royalties and the Nation's philosophy of Rukun Negara.

At least a bow or nodding of the head to Royalties to pay respects should have been done if he does not want to shake hands or Menyembah the Royalties he dislike.

Guess emotions got the better of him since he is a loyal son who definitely just like any loyal son would not like to pay respect to your own Father's enemies.

I wonder why Muhkriz did not send his Deputy MB instead?

Muhkriz should learn from DSAI how to overdo it to look more Malay to those who equate it as Malayness.

    Wakakkakakaka
