Mukhriz: Leaders’ attitude reason for Malay split

ALOR SETAR, June 1 — The attitude of some political leaders that they cannot be criticised is one of the main causes of disunity among the Malays, said Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
The Kedah Mentri Besar said that if political leaders were more appreciative of criticisms, the split could have been avoided.
“I see this split happening because of deeds that go against the idea of unity. When speaking of unity, there must be one main goal, that of being united.
Wakakaka, this bloke is really brazen when his papa has been the one breaking up the main Malay political party.
Because of his power-hungry papa, who couldn't tolerate any dissent, the powerful UMNO split into UMNO Baru and Semangat 46. Not only that, his papa sacked all top judges including the Lord President of the Judiciary, and then launched Ops Lalang.
What eff-ing Malay Unity?

Then, after he was retired in 2003, he found out he couldn't order PMs AAB and Najib around. He thought he was still the de facto PM, even brazenly calling Najib as one of his two successors - making him the only retired PM in the world with TWO successors.
When Najib ignored his son, our brat above who tok-ayam, the Old Man ta'boleh tahan anymore and went on to form YET another Malay Party to oppose his old-new party of UMNO Baru (which was supposed to oppose Semangat 46), again with a racist name, Pribumi or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.
What eff-ing Malay Unity?
Then, when he formed his cabinet under Pakatan, he did NOT consult PKR when he recruited Azmin Ali to be the newly formed Economics Minister (to deny the new Chinese Finance Minister of the powers enjoyed by previous Finance Ministers).
hmmm, let's see how I can eff Tokong kaukau wakakaka |
The Old Man plucked Azmin Ali out from his MB Selangor position as if he (the Old Man) was the Emperor himself, without so much as a "excuse me, Datin" to the PKR President.
What eff-ing Malay Unity?
The two major Malay political spilts, UMNO into UMNO Baru and Semangat 46 in 1987, and then UMNO into UMNO and Pribumi (sometimes referred to sarcastically as UMNO Baru Baru-er) in 2016, have been due solely to Mahathir.
Mahathir has been the principal cause of Malay political divisions.
Unity is an overrated commodity in national politics.
ReplyDeleteIntegrity is far more important.
The Yes-Sir, that is wonderful Sir unity of an authoritarian regime looks good, until it is not.
That was Mahathir's great flaw 1st time round, but he doesn't get to play that much nowadays.
Mahathir can NEVER be associated with the concept or ideals of unity - he was/is a quarrelsome person who thought/still thinks he was/is always right, quarreling right from the very beginning with TAR until even now with 'someone-anyone'
DeleteWell Jibby was a great unifier of the Malays, he used the super-glue called "money" and look where that got us....a 1.1 trillion national debt. He even got PAS on board (reportedly by some sources) with 90 million ha ha ha for funding PAS contesting in so many seats in GE14 to split opposition votes, but unfortunately that didn't work.
ReplyDeleteToonsie on the other hand did manage to "unify" Malaysians of all races, didn't he win GE14 with 30% Malay/Bumiputra, 90% Chinese and 60% Indian votes?
Some questions:
ReplyDelete1) Which is more important to the nationhood of M'sia - the unity of the melayu or the unity of M'sians?
2) What's mamak's role in each schemings as outline so succinctly by u?
3) Based on the above questions, is mamak2.0 good or bad for the new M'sia?
4) Ain't u the f*ck that suggested looking for the new future rather than the old (mis)deeds to propel new M'sia? Or u r going to cry father mother about not learning from history!
