Earthquake Hit Northern Pakistan

A hugh earthquake, with its epicentre about 95 km NE of Islamabad in Pakistani Kashmir, hit northern Pakistan at 11:50 a.m Malaysian time, killing dozens of people. The quake measuring 7.6 on the Richter Scale was also felt in northern India right up to New Delhi. Kabul in Afghanistan experienced the tremor too. An Afghan girl was killed when a wall collapsed on her.

The worst casualties in Pakistan are likely to come from two blocks of 75 apartments which collapsed. Rescue actions continue.
