For what is Mahathir ignoring Indian extradition request?

FMT - Give the facts about Naik extradition, Putrajaya urged (extracts):

PETALING JAYA: Clear the air about Zakir Naik, a senior official of the Pakatan Harapan federal government said today, urging the foreign ministry or the Attorney-General’s Chambers to state whether a formal request had been received for the extradition of Naik, a controversial Indian-Muslim preacher.

The official said the two government agencies appeared to be contradicting each other.

“The government needs to establish the facts. Either the foreign ministry or the Attorney-General’s Chambers must immediately come out and clear the air as to whether they have received a formal request from India to extradite Zakir Naik.”

He raised the possibility that the Indian government might be mistaken about whether Putrajaya had received its request for the extradition of Naik.

Dr Ramasamy, DCM II Penang, confirmed today that India did send the extradition request in January. Malaysiakini reported (extracts):

Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P Ramasamy stated otherwise.

“A formal request has been made. The Indian authorities have informed me of this,” he told Malaysiakini this afternoon.

The Indian media yesterday quoted the republic's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar as stating that the formal request for Zakir's extradition was made in January this year.

"In January this year, we made a formal request for the extradition of Zakir. At this stage I can tell you that our extradition requests are under consideration by the Malaysian authority," Raveesh said.

He's fCking furious that Mamak is dragging his heels when the honour of an international treaty is at stake, though he ought to know Mamak doesn't give a shit about treaties, whether to Chin Peng or Singapore or China (ooops, all Cinapek lah). Maybe it's a first for non-Islamic India.

am I the only capati among the cinapeks?

The tok-kok thus far have been to save local Indian politicians' faces (eg. Gobind, Kula, etc) because the Imperator has already said fCk the Indian government, and thus no Malaysian official dares to initiate the extradition. Most quiet is Lim father-son team, wakakaka.

Mahathirism is truly alive and well today. Push the Zakir Naik extradition issue a bit more and Ops Lalang II may even occur, wakakaka.

Why so impulsively jumping in to stir fry this zakir naik issue, based on singular source lah?

Here is one for yr insomniac reading!

    https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/zakir-naik-extradition-meets-hurdle-at-interpol-say-nia-sources

If India has made a solid request, WHY the Interpol refuses the Red Corner Notice? An internationally recognised legal procedure closest to an international arrest warrant. It is the first step to extradition of a suspect who is holed up in a foreign country.

Ooop! Maybe mamak has a magic touch with Interpol too! Right?

AGAIN, u r showing the hallucinatory sign of desperado to discredit mamak!

Indeed, u will go the mile to show yr black heart!

  4. Hah, so now the secret is out. India’s extradition request for Zakir Naik was sent in January this year. So who was PM then? Why no action ?

The Indian government has confirmed that it sent Malaysia a formal extradition request for preacher Zakir Naik in January this year.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Shri Raveesh Kumar confirmed this with Malaysiakini via email today...

  6. So you see folks the New Malaysia and the new TDM listens to advice. No ex-BTN director, no LKS, no silly PhD for Speaker. They are even willing to bypass their Manifesto promise to have an MP as speaker because of perceived bias by the opposition. With a retired senior Judge there can be no complaints.

Even this Zakir Naik storm-in-a-teacup will be resolved shortly.

Retired Court of Appeal judge Datuk Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof (pic) is expected to receive his appointment letter as Parliament Speaker soon. The New Straits Times reported that Mohamad Ariff is waiting for the official letter, and quoted him as saying that it would be issued latest by Sunday (July 15) as the first meeting of the 14th Parliament starts on Monday (July 16) and will last for 20 days.

  10. Inspector-General says he paid for daughter's wedding expenses; I thought a reader explained it is normal for the groom's side to pay for everything, as per Najib's daughter's do at Shangri La?

    QUOTE:
Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun has denied a Sarawak Report article that implied that the police force had sponsored the trips of top police officers from the region to attend his daughter’s wedding. He told Star Online that only his counterpart from Brunei attended the wedding at a hotel here on July 1. Fuzi said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) was welcome to investigate the claims. “I am close to retirement and have more than enough savings to spend on my daughter’s wedding. “I have nothing to hide,” he said. “No funds from the government or PDRM (police force) were used to pay for the wedding or travel expenses of my guests.” He said he was mulling legal action against Sarawak Report.

  11. About ZN - DSNR & TDM "great minds run in the same gutters". BTW, SAR has granted ZN citizenship. I agree with DSNR & TDM that ZN should stay because of the bounty on his head.

  12. "Cring, cring, cring. Hello Modi.

Ceasar here. When are you going to agree to drop charges against my good friends Ananda and Tony? I'll give you the trouble maker Zaik on the next Air Asia plane and kira settle both our problems.

All these are Indian problems, brother. Why Indians always give problems, one? Nothing to do with Malays and Islam or Me. My predecessor and his flock of turban wearing friends thought he is a good Guruji, better than our local preachers and Bomohs and gave him some islands and PR also. I'm still finding out how much he paid for all those things.

My only request is "Just don't hang or shoot him when he goes back, ok? I'm also following the Australians way of extradition, mah. I found out over Tea in my house, he is definitely not a terrorist like ISIS or Al Qaeda or another Imam Mahadi. More like an Indian Snake only learning how to collect monies and donations using his oratory skills. He is definitely also not a suicide bomber also, lah.

Maybe, can we agree to send him for a holiday in Bali in the meantime?"

  13. Aiya this Zakir Nair topic so boring lah. Harapan will solve soon, at Parliament 14.

I got a new one. My prediction is UMNO will splinter with KJ leading the progressives out.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — An Umno lawmaker questioned whether Khairy Jamaluddin had forgotten Malay culture after the former party Youth chief criticised some members’ donation drive for embattled former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman said those party members’ solidarity with Najib, who has since been charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust and another of power abuse, is part of Malay culture in respecting their leaders and helping them when in need.

“Does Khairy not understand the Malay culture?” Tajuddin told Malay Mail yesterday.

“What happened now is many young people are trying to emulate and imitate the Western culture where they become individualistic and self-centred. They forget about their families when they are grown up. This is not the Malay culture.
