Alleged Mamak terrorist safe here

Malaysiakini - 'A wanted man has coffee with PM' – don roasts VVIP treatment for Zakir (extracts):

would you like milk with your coffee?

Law lecturer Shamser Singh Thind is the latest to wade into the controversy surrounding the status of controversial Muslim preacher Zakir Naik

Among others, the Penang-based lecturer wondered if he would be accorded the privilege of having a cup of coffee with Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Speaking to Malaysiakini, Shamser questioned the need for Zakir to be given "VVIP treatment" with regard to the latter's meeting with Mahathir over the weekend.

"He was allowed to meet Mahathir over a cup of coffee? Will I ever get this chance?" he asked

Shamser also addressed the allegations against Zakir, which ranged from money laundering to inspiring terror-related activities. The preacher has denied these claims.

"Is Zakir a terrorist? Or does he have any link to terrorism? Well, I don't know.

"Personally, I have no problems with him. I even attended his son's lecture at Universiti Sains Malaysia,” he added.

On Zakir's critics accusing him of making hate speeches, Shamser said this was not the main issue either.

"The issue here is not about his, arguably, offensive speeches.

"The issue here is that he is wanted in his country and Malaysia should not interfere in the administration of justice by protecting him," he pointed out.

"Why are we not returning someone who is wanted in India? Who are we to say India is wrong and Zakir is right?" he asked.

Shamser also recalled the case of Hamza Kashgari, a journalist who was wanted in Saudi Arabia for a crime that is punishable with death.

"We sent him back almost immediately. So, why the double standard?"
he asked.

Extradited by Saudi from Malaysia on February 12, 2012

Shamser was commenting on Mahathir's latest remark that Putrajaya would not bow to pressure to deport Zakir despite a request from the Indian government.

Previously, the prime minister said Zakir, who has a Malaysian permanent resident status, can remain in the country provided that he behaves.

Yesterday, Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P Ramasamy reiterated that Putrajaya must respect the extradition treaty inked between Malaysia and India in 2010.

He also questioned what if Penang-born businessman Jho Low sought refuge in India.

“I am sure the Malaysian government would want India to respect the extradition treaty between the two countries,” he told Malaysiakini.

  1. Zakir Naik can cast spiritual spells over many Malaysian Muslims, not just 93-year old TDM. Please be fair, berate the people below too:

Zakir Naik meets Zahid Hamidi at his home:

    Hadi Awang cuddles Zakir Naik:

Terengganu BN Menteri Besar gives three islands on Tasik Kenyir to Zakir Naik without Exco or Sultan's approval:

Kelantan MB invites Zakir Naik to Kota Bharu for International Islamic Conference:

Perlis mufti Mohd Asri writes poem berating "cow worshipers" for opposing Zakir Naik:

Perak mufti, PAS Deputy President Tuan Ibrahim and others defend Zakir Naik:

Najib has breakfast of tosai & chai tea with Zakir Naik at his residence:

    1. we are talking about honouring an extradition treaty with a foreign nation - Zakir is an Indian national and has nothing to do with us - he's NOT entitled to protection by Malaysia

    2. How about that j low. If najib is proven guilty and beheaded, i am sure kaytee still supporting najib

    3. Talking about honouring international legal agreements....

Switzerland's Attorney General confirms Malaysia back in 2016 refused to cooperate with a Mutual Legal Assistance request to investigate Malaysian-side transactions related to 1MDB.

Apandi now claims this was because there was an on-going Police investigation.
The fact is , in 2016, all investigations in Malaysia had been in effect shut down by Bijan. So what the F*ck Police investigation was going on in 2016 ?

  2. Funny how the whole Zakar Naik polemic seems to involve Anehs and Thambys of one stripe or another on both sides of the argument.

    1. bloke insulted Hinduism

    2. Motherfucker kaytee is proven ah neh

    3. Ah so.....cheebye motherfucker kaytee is indian

    4. So ? The Malaysian Government doesn't want to get involved.
Hindu nationalists will be angry ...but too bad.

      Something doesn't compute.

Why did the Indian Government NOT make the Extradition request 70 days / 90 days / 180 days ago ?

The legal situation has not changed.

    5. As I told you before I did NOT fCk your mother, and am NOT your dad

  3. Matey,Malaysia is a country where the man in charge is the one always calling the shots. It is not the olde US of A,where any Tom,Jane or his Dicky can pissed on the face of Donald Trump.

Whether it is Umno/BN or the PH,the kangaroo courts will continue to flourish.Malaysia is not a country like Zimbabwe,Somalia or even Russia, but authoritarian rule is still the menu of the land.

But for those who do not want to be busybodies in politics and leave politics to the loudmouths, way of life, standard of living and opportunities will definitely be better.

    1. I thought bear had eaten bruno alive

    2. What is drinkt martell? I thought a bear eat you alive in alaska. Bruno?

  4. Many Moslems in Malaysia are believing him as the next Imam Mahadi.

He has been elevated to the status of a Prophet and who dares extradite a Prophet?

Ananda and Tony seems to be the losers now and lost the protection of TDM after so many years of BFF.

So, when is the Govt. of India charging Zakir in absentia in court in India?

  5. I remember Ktemoc defended Bijan when he met with Zakir Nail last year.
    Why ?
