Wee Ka Siong has a problem - Perak MCA Youth chief joins calls for PM to resign

Perak MCA Youth chief joins calls for PM to resign

Perak MCA Youth chief Daniel Wa Wai How said Muhyiddin Yassin must acknowledge his government’s failures.

PETALING JAYA: The head of Perak MCA Youth has joined the call for Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin to resign immediately to enable someone more capable to lead the country in his place.

The Youth wing chief, Daniel Wa Wai How, said the prime minister cannot force the country to continue living under the current situation after failing to implement effective pandemic control measures during the emergency period.

“We cannot clearly see which direction the country is headed because political turmoil has impacted effective governance,” said Wa in an interview with Sinar Harian.

“Personally, I think the prime minister should step down so the government can be replaced,” said Wa, who is also national MCA Youth secretary.

Wa said the new head of government should be given a six-month term in office to continue the national vaccination programme and make administrative arrangements in anticipation of the next general election.

He added that Muhyiddin must acknowledge his government’s failures because many Malaysians will still be stuck at home in August.

Wa attributed this to poor policies regarding factory operations, which had triggered various workplace clusters.
