In a way it's good news that Malaysia is rapidly reaching towards natural Herd Immunity (gained by being actually infected or exposed to the Virus).
ReplyDeleteBut the price is exceedingly heavy in deaths and severely ill infected cases.
Natural or artificial Herd Immunity works ONLY if there r no further generative ground for new valiant to evolve!
DeleteThat's how India Delta mutate from Alpha in UK in his fertile pandemic expansion.
Once a new valiant achieve virulence, the herd immunity based on the old expired mutant is expensed.
New cycle begins as the original herd immunity is broken!
So India would face new killing covid-19 pandemic when a new valiant reach his shore. Especially when it proven that fully vaccinated person can still be infected with the new valiant!
Ditto with m'sia & the rest of the world.
