China says Western militaries must be held accountable for Afghanistan debacle

China's envoy to the UN in Geneva said on Tuesday that the US army and the militaries of other coalition partners should be held accountable for alleged rights violations they committed in Afghanistan.

"The US, UK, Australia and other countries must be held accountable for the violation of human rights committed by their military in Afghanistan and the evolution of this current session should cover this issue," China's ambassador Chen Xu told an emergency session of the Human Rights Council on Afghanistan.

"Under the banner of democracy and human rights the US and other countries carry out military interventions in other sovereign states and impose their own model on countries with vastly different history and culture," he said, saying this brought "great suffering".

  1. China has yet to be held accountable for its military invasion and occupation of sovereign Tibet under the banner excuse of so-called removal of a terrible theocracy and the upper class so-called nobility oppressing the peasants.

Imposing their model on a people who have a very different culture and language.

    1. Liberation of Tibet from those elite lama class was the domestic affair of China in removing the inhuman societal shackles planted on the Tibetan peasants!

So what to account for - in yr blurred & f*cked understanding of Tibet issue?

"Imposing their model on a people who have a very different culture and language"

Old moneyed mfer, r the current Tibetans NOT living their way of lives & language sans those hateful serfdom practices?

Or in yr f*cked mind, the Tibetans should continue living & serving under those f*cked lama class - as that's their livelihood know since u discovered the existence of Tibet!

  2. HUman Rights? Thus pontificates Bullyland who is the NAMBAR 1 country for executions by far. But KT never blog about this. Only about why death penalty in Malaysia not yet abolished. Incidentally not a single execution has been performed in Malaysia since 2018, there has been a moratorium. But in Bullyland it is in the thousands per year.

    "Thousands" in 2020 (state secret)
    12,000 in 2012
    6,500 in 2007
    2,400 in 2013
    2,400 in 2014

Given conservative and variable estimates of executions in China, executions in China account for more than 58% in 2009 and 65% in 2010 of those worldwide.

    Well Done.

  3. Anyone is free to bring any Human Rights violation cases to the International Court of Justice or equivalent. Just like in Bosnia, Kosovo, Germany, Middle East etc.

But please don't forget to ask 5000 yo Bullyland to reveal the number of EXECUTIONS carried out since 1949. Especially during the Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution when dissidents were allegedly shot to death by firing squad.

  4. Will 5000 yo Bullyland please address these Human Rights accusations which have long been unanswered....

    Deaths by violence: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Leap_Forward#Deaths_by_violence

Not all deaths during the Great Leap were from starvation. Frank Dikötter estimates that at least 2.5 million people were beaten or tortured to death and one million to three million committed suicide. He provides some illustrative examples. In Xinyang, where over a million died in 1960, 6–7% (around 67,000) of these were beaten to death by the militias. In Daoxian county, 10% of those who died had been "buried alive, clubbed to death or otherwise killed by party members and their militia." In Shimen county, around 13,500 died in 1960, of these 12% were "beaten or driven to their deaths." In accounts documented by Yang Jisheng, people were beaten or killed for rebelling against the government, reporting the real harvest numbers, for sounding alarm, for refusing to hand over what little food they had left, for trying to flee the famine area, for begging food or as little as stealing scraps or angering officials.

    Cultural Revolution
    Death toll https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_Revolution

Estimates of the death toll from the Cultural Revolution, including civilians and Red Guards, vary greatly, ranging from hundreds of thousands to 20 million. The exact figure of those who were persecuted or died during the Cultural Revolution, however, may never be known, since many deaths went unreported or were actively covered up by the police or local authorities. The state of Chinese demographics records was also deplorable at the time, and the PRC has been hesitant to allow formal research into the period.

During the Cultural Revolution, massacres took place across mainland China, (massacres were mainly led and organized by local revolutionary committees, Communist Party branches, militia, and even the military). Most of the victims in the massacres were members of the Five Black Categories as well as their children, or members of the "rebel groups (造反派)". Chinese scholars have estimated that at least 300,000 people died in these massacres. Collective killings in Guangxi Province and Guangdong Province were among the most serious. In Guangxi, the official annals of at least 43 counties have records of massacres, with 15 of them reporting a death toll of over 1,000, while in Guangdong at least 28 county annals record massacres, with 6 of them reporting a death toll of over 1,000.

In the Guanxi massacre, the official record shows an estimated death toll from 100,000 to 150,000. According to Mao: The Unknown Story, an estimated 100,000 people died in one of the worst violent struggles in Guangxi between January and April 1968, before Premier Zhou Enlai sent the PLA to intervene. Tales of Cannibalism in Modern China alleged that "systematic killing and cannibalization of individuals in the name of political revolution and 'class struggle'" among the Zhuang people in Wuxuan County during that period. Zheng was criticized in China for reliance on unpublished interviews and for the negative portrayal of a Chinese ethnic minority, although senior party historians corroborated allegations of cannibalism.

In Shadian incident of Yunnan, massacre targeting Hui people led by the PLA in 1975 resulted in the deaths of more than 1,600 civilians, including 300 children, and destroyed 4,400 homes.

In Daoxian Massacre of Hunan, from August 13 to October 17, 1967, a total of 7,696 people were killed, 1,397 people were forced to commit suicide, and 2,146 people were permanently disabled.

In Beijing massacre (Red August), official sources in 1980 have revealed that at least 1,772 people were killed by Red Guards from August to September 1966......

....the Daxing Massacre caused the deaths of 325 people from August 27 to September 1, 1966....
