Hadi Awang's culture of strife

TMI - Amanat Hadi 2.0 now targets DAP instead of Umno (extracts):

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has issued an updated version of his divisive 1981 decree: this time making it haram (forbidden) for Muslims to either join or support DAP.

Selangor DAP leader Edry Faizal Yusof said the original Amanat Hadi (Hadi’s decree) was aimed at Umno, PAS’ traditional rival for the Malay vote.

However, as the 14th general election looms, Hadi has now trained his guns on DAP, PAS’ former ally-turned-rival in the Pakatan Harapan opposition coalition, said Edry Faizal.

It is widely known that the 1981 decree had started the practice of takfiri among PAS members, who would label Muslims who supported Umno as infidels.

“Again, due to political considerations while PAS is desperate, Hadi has used religion to declare that it is haram for Muslims to join DAP or to support DAP,” Edry Faizal said in a statement.

“It is evident that Hadi wants to revive a decree that breeds a culture of strife, similar to what was done in Amanat Hadi 1.0.”

What is takfiri which became the practice among PAS in 1981?

The infighting between various takfiri groups, all sponsored by the US and its Arab puppets, has exposed the true nature of the conflict in Syria.

It is not a conflict between Shias and Sunnis since all the takfiris claim to be "Sunnis;" rather, it is a foreign-sponsored conspiracy to weaken the resistance front against zionist Israel

From Alalam News

According to Wikipedia:

Takfiris have been classified by some commentators as violent offshoots of the Salafi movement, an ultra-conservative reform branch or movement within Sunni Islam that developed in Arabia in the first half of the 18th century.

It advocated a return to the traditions of the salaf, who are the first three generations of scholars after the Prophet Muhammad.

This is terrifying - violent offshoots of the Salafi movement, an ultra-conservative reform branch - when we know that in Saudi Arabia, the Salafi movement has merged with Wahhabism (an already intolerant and violent form of Islamic faith in Saudi Arabia).

Thus takfiris would be an extremely VIOLENT offshoot of two already violent schools of Islam in Saudi Arabia, that of Salafism and Wahhabism. It's like the merciless hybrid offspring of a ferocious leopard and a raging tiger.

I read from the Jamestown Foundation that:

Although Salafism and Wahhabism began as two distinct movements, [King] Faisal’s embrace of Salafi pan-Islamism resulted in cross-pollination between ibn Abd al-Wahhab’s teachings on tawhid, shirk and bid’a and Salafi interpretations of ahadith (the sayings of Muhammad).

Some Salafis nominated ibn Abd al-Wahhab as one of the Salaf (retrospectively bringing Wahhabism into the fold of Salafism), and the Muwahideen began calling themselves Salafis.

Indeed, in its takfiri mode, Hadi issued his Amanat (1.0) in 1981 which labelled Muslims who supported UMNO as infidels. It has been said that then he even told PAS members that it was forbidden to pray with imam from UMNO or to even eat meat slaughtered by UMNO members.

Was that Islam? It was certainly Hadi's.

37 years later, in 2018, his new Amanat (2.0) now labels Muslims who supported DAP as infidels.

We need to bear in mind too that Hadi Awang, when it suited him, worked with the DAP in GE12 and GE13 and now with UMNO.

Hadi has been extraordinarily flexible like a Kelantan made rubber band. And he is now shamelessly enticing non-Muslim Chinese to vote for PAS. Berita Daily reported on 23 Feb 2018 (extract):

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang yesterday urged Chinese voters to give the Islamic party a chance, saying that PAS is a strong political party capable of stopping any unwarranted incident from occurring.

Earlier in the month, he was reported by Today (Singapore) of saying (extracts),

Muslims would be committing a sin if they chose not to vote or to spoil their votes as they would be giving up the "power to determine politics to those who are not Muslims".

"This is a great sin. This is what the enemies of Islam within Malaysia and outside the country want."

Mr Putar Belit.

May I also remind you that in the post GE13 period, quite a few PAS members were appointed town councillors in Penang, which was why Hadi Awang went ferocious when he heard of the Penang Pakatan government (which PAS, minus his Amanat 2.0 then, was also part of) was going to hold 3rd tier or local council elections..

Hadi didn’t want this to come about because it wanted to continue appointing his PAS people to the local councils under Pakatan rule, but which local elections would stop that practice of appointments of councillors. He realised that local councils were mainly in urban areas where PAS did not have influence or a voter base, and PAS candidates stood little chance of being elected.

And that was why PAS was very hostile towards local council elections in Penang State, even warning of another May 13 if Lim Guan Eng were to go ahead.

Well, so much for Hadi Awang, an alleged advocate for a return to the traditions of the salaf, to be so materialistic minded even as to threaten violence against any impediment to the earthly interests of his party members.

But Selangor DAP leader Edry Faizal Yusof has been right in saying, “It is evident that Hadi wants to revive a decree that breeds a culture of strife, similar to what was done in Amanat Hadi 1.0.”

  1. It must be noted that Hadi is presently a credible threat to any open society in Malaysia because he is lying in the same bed as that Arsehole Ah Jib Gor.
