police forensic officers at Taman Sentosa, Klang where Cpl Raja Aizan was killed |
A Penang lawmaker has been slammed for tweeting remarks deemed insensitive to the family of corporal Raja Aizam Raja Mohd, who was killed in the line of duty yesterday.
Dr Afif Bahardin, who is Seberang Jaya assemblyman and a state executive councillor, yesterday tweeted: "Penjenayah bunuh polis itu tidak menghairankan, tetapi bila polis yang sepatutnya menegakkan undang-undang membunuh tahanan, itu masalah"
(It is not surprising for the police to be killed by criminals but when the police, who suppose to uphold the law kill detainees, it is a problem).
In case you've not been aware, Cpl Raja Aizam was killed by Indon hoodlums in Klang yesterday.
Haven't our politicians been insensitive? Or, have they been insensitively exploitative?
First, when pro-BN bloggers mention that PR politicians have no feelings, they are right. No PR politician has come out to show empathy for the family although Selangor is PR run. Whether hoodlum (or so called hoodlum) dies in detention or police die in line of duty, its still a tragedy.
ReplyDeleteHowever, home minister still denies that Msia is a dangerous place. The hoodlums running our cities and neighborhoods are all foreigners.
Then you have these toxic or hoodlum type politicians running our country on both sides of the bench who see every opportunity to score political points even on things like this or Sabah's Sulu incursion.
Is this tweet insensitive?

This is just an statement representing the current state of the society we r living in!
Terming it toxic, clearly showing the out-of-tune, or more probably the other sinister motive, it carries.
The more radioactive part is the effort to propagate a simple statement like this to monstrous propaganda, using race/religious/humanity angle.
It falls under the same category of terming an innocent tweet about speaking the name of the 2nd bridge takes longer than to past it as insensitive/traitor/sedition!
Toxic, ye? More like siege mentality exposed, so as to use the opportunity to agitate for rousing emotion - hoping that the aroused racial sentiment would form a chorus to down all those bent challenging the status quo (what status qoute?????)
If ever KT is so conscious of the political right-ness of the issue, he SHOULD instead write about the positive rather than the negative side of the issue. & yet KT behaves as if he is writing about his favourite Manmanlai!
What KT did instead, is doing the same trick as that mamak Myrmidon (yr pak yasin) juxtaposing the Kalimah Allah protest at POJ, vis-a-vis about the sensitivities of the Muslims continue to be insulted and the feelings of the Malays belittle. & spread it!
I CAN understand that lackey's intention of twisting the news, BUT yr writing about this matter-of-fact statement by Dr Afif really defile yr past records of rants.
U r really beginning to sink like that Helen of the Eastern Pearl, looking to EVERY OPPORTUNITY to pick a chance to spread the radioactive toxin, just on yr term, mind u!!!!
Nah! He's Cassandra's brother......Casandra has been feeding us with bad news wherever she goes.......Hahahahaha!

FUCK, ISN'T THAT MANMANLAI? Heck another Anwar Ibrahim.......What the fuck

Policemen being killed in the line of duty is always a tragedy, and the perpetrators should be brought to justice - as I'm very sure the police will not leave any stone unturned to achieve this.
ReplyDeletePeople dying in police custody - their guilt or innocence is for the courts to decide - is also a tragedy, which unfortunately the police continuously deny and almost nobody is ever brought to justice. Or some very low level scapegoat gets charged , while those responsible for continuing the brutal system never face any music.
Afif Bahardin's statement may be politically incorrect, but its unfortunately the unpleasant truth about the state of human rights in police lockups in Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteI don't count it as toxic politics, the toxicity arose from the brutal interrogation system in the first place, as the previous poster said.
