New Straits Times published a caricature?
Well, this one will be a test of the PM who is also the Internal Security Minister. For the sins of publishing the insulting cartoons of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) 2 newspapers, the Sarawak Tribune and Chinese language Guangming, have been penalized. One was suspended indefinitely while the latter for a couple of weeks.
Now, Confederation of Malaysian NGO’s spokesperson Izham Nayam reported that the New Straits Times(NST) have done the same thing, by the publication of a similar cartoon [with association to the blasphemous caricatures] in its 'Life & Times' section. He cried out that the NST cartoon was biadapdankurang ajar (rude and uncouth), and demanded that action be taken against NST Group Editor Brendan Pereira.
