Nurul Izzah serves FINAL term as MP because of Mahathir?

Nurul Izzah is serving her last, yes LAST and FINAL term as a MP which she became since 2008.

Coincidentally this final term as a federal lawmaker for her is also her first (and thus last) term as a government front bencher. Additionally, She has resigned from her role as a member of PAC.

This is humongously drastic for a young-ish sweetie from a family of politicians. Why?

She has been diplomatic in her reason but the blunt truth is she's pissed off with the most unreformist behaviour of Mahathir, yet without any other Pakatan top leaders constraining that unreform-ed and unrepentant Mahathir. It seems she has more "balls" than Lim Kit Siang or even her dad, Anwar Ibrahim.

Remember, in 2017 Nurul Izzah was the very person who went to London persuaded Mahathir to continue to be part of Pakatan after the old man (at one stage) gave up, and with the promise of him becoming (mark this next word) "interim" PM.

NST reported (relevant extracts):

Nurul Izzah was apparently sent there as the emissary of Lim Kit Siang to offer the post of interim PM on condition that Dr Mahathir, who is chairman of Pakatan Harapan, agrees that as interim PM he would apply for a royal pardon for Anwar.

Kit Siang knows very well that his DAP party and PKR alone would not be able to topple BN. He needs to join forces with Dr Mahathir and his PPBM, which now holds just one seat.

Under Kit Siang’s grand plan, Anwar will be the permanent PM provided he is released from prison and receives a royal pardon.
That will only be possible if PH, under the helm of Kit Siang, is in power.

Dr Mahathir alluded to this in his interview with The Guardian.

She has now seen Mahathir for what he is (and of course, was), the same old dictator, Bapak Ops Lalang, and the very man who had had her father incarcerated on an allegedly fabricated charge, and who has been blaming everyone including a late Agong for his various naughty-ness.

Since becoming the so-called "interim" PM, Mahathir has become greedy, not being satisfied with just overthrowing Najib as he claimed, but being so shameless as to even said he was "willing" to stay on as PM if the people "want him to".

In other words, Mahathir has reneged on his claim to just overthrown Najib and to let Anwar be the permanent PM (provided he is released from prison and receives a royal pardon).

Initially it was to hang on the PM position for 2 years, and then, as I mentioned before, even brazenly "offering" to stay on for the full term.

Brick by brick, he dismantled his agreement with Pakatan, as he had brick by brick, dismantled his promise to NOT accept UMNO frogs.

He came up with a BS excuse that those frogs must leave UMNO first, well, at least for a few days and then they become 'cleansed'. Such is his lustful hunger of perpetual power as PM that he has resorted to picking scums to fortify his party strength so as to defy and resist the powers of other Pakatan component parties like PKR and DAP.

As we all know by now, to him, "promises" are not of biblical sacrosanctity and may be broken, nay, smashed to smithereens when these suit him and his agenda.

On top of Mahathir "testing the waters" to evaluate the possibility of his staying on as PM for the full term (and with god's help, even beyond that), what broke Nurul's patience has been the seamy, treacherous and unscrupulous acceptance of UMNO frogs, an act against his very words and claims of reforms.

A man who couldn't even honour his own words is not a man of honour and to be NOT trusted.

Thus Nurul has had enough and is set to pack up her political life for good.

It'll be a tremendous loss to Malaysian politics if she leaves politics for good as she is a potential PM Malaysia.

And within this evil melee of unscrupulousness, one may ask why did Mahathir have Anwar Ibrahim pardoned?

For a start, he has to because Pakatan would otherwise NOT have supported his premiership. With an initial strength of 13 MPs he was almost as weak an Amanah. WTF could he have achieved with those meagre numbers?

But it prove one thing, Mahathir did NOT make any beachhead into the Heartland as he was supposed to, for Pakatan.

The other reason, the real motivation behind Mahathir’s open backing for Anwar, was cheekily provided by Najib, wakakaka.

Acording to Ah Jib Gor, Mahathir resorted to that to escape criminal prosecution.

NST reported that according to Najib:

... Dr Mahathir’s support for Anwar is driven by his “deep concern” about the government’s decision to form a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate a multi-billion-dollar foreign exchange scandal when Dr Mahathir was premier.

“As Mahathir knows well, Anwar cannot legally contest, so this U-turn is not about the coming general election ... Mahathir knows that the RCI findings could lead to criminal prosecution, so he cannot afford to have individuals highly relevant to the case such as Anwar testifying against him.”

Najib said that it was “ironic that Mahathir now needs Anwar, the man he sacked and jailed”.

Dr Mahathir’s “crusade” is also motivated by “selfish personal interest” and he is “obsessed” about making his son Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir prime minister.

“Mahathir demanded Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi resign as prime minister, now demands my resignation, and will demand my successor resign until his son becomes prime minister — whatever the cost to Malaysia.”
.

Threatened indirectly by dissent with Pakatan, especially among PKR and DAP abckbenchers (Lim KS, Wan Azizah and Anwar remaining quiet as mice), Mahathir has now bcak down from retaining Pribumi's new frog, Ronald Kiandee, as PAC Chair. Perhaps he felt uncomfy and also indirectly threatened with Nurul Izzah stating this would be her final term as MP.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 24 — Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar has repeated her concerns of a worsening “crisis” in local politics but demurred when asked to point out the causes.

She told The Straits Times (ST) in an interview that she is frustrated with the state of politics on several issues but said she also wanted to be “respectful” as there are more important things on which to focus.

“It’s a variety of things, but I said my piece in my statement,” she was quoted as saying.

However, the former PKR vice-president hinted at possible causes including the entry of lawmakers previously with the defeated Barisan Nasional (BN) into the ruling Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Nurul Izzah also restated her annoyance with PH’s glacial progress in delivering promised reforms.

Among others, she said the worsening polarisation since the general election meant the ruling coalition must urgently address the racial imbalances in its support.

She said PH must engage voters in rural constituencies as PH did not win majority support from Malay voters during the 14th general election, but stressed that this did not mean “suddenly embracing the Malay agenda per se”.

hmmm, good, I've gotten rid of her

Nurul Izzah also said politics in Malaysia must be pulled back from the ideological fringes.

“We’re not doing enough to embolden the middle. We’re not doing enough to embolden those who are considered moderate,” she was quoted as saying.

On PH’s acceptance of former Umno MPs, she described it as a “horrible predicament” not only for PKR but for all Malaysians.

“It’s just a sad state of affairs because I believe that a two-coalition system is important for the future of Malaysia,” she said.

  1. Poor Toonsie. After working through the weekend in Pakistan where he was a special guest in the country’s national day celebration he comes home to a hot soup of protests by his party’s coalition partners namely PKR and DAP over Kiandee’s position as the PAC chairman. First Nurul resigns her position as PAC member then the other members hand in a letter of protest to Toonsie over Kiandee’s chairmanship. Now Nurul announces this is her final term as MP. A near is pissed livid. With a hundred parliament seats between them PKR and DAP overshadows Toonsie’s Bersatu’s 13 seats (frogs don’t count). He had to kwai2 reconsider his position on Kiandee’s chairmanship. New Malaysia. Check and Balance. Like the Dacing, Only Better. Tick Tock Tick Tock his time running out.

I WENT to the West and saw Islam, but no Muslims; I got back to the East and saw Muslims, but no Islam. – Mohammad Abduh

The Islamicity latest Indices in 2017, puts New Zealand as the highest ranking in the entire world for reflecting what they refer to as Islamic values.

The indices take into account economy, legal and governance, human and political rights, international relations, and the cumulative overall.

Let us get to know a bit about Prime Minister Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern. Politician extraordinaire, she rose to be the 40th PM of New Zealand in less than 10 years of entering politics at age 37.

She was the president of the International Union of Socialist Youth but now describes herself as a social democrat and a progressive. She is the world’s youngest female head of government.

I will not repeat what happened on March 15 in Christchurch but will focus on happened next.

Ardern has confirmed Islamicity’s highest ranking and clearly demonstrated it is not a perception.

    “We are one” she said.

That is a very powerful message compared to “you’re either with us, or against us”.

The latter calls for polarisation and is very damaging. Her other statements, which comes from the heart, epitomise unity and harmony. She’s the embodiment of all our hopes.

Fact is, many of the victims and family members of the deceased have expressed forgiveness to the “terrorist” that created the mayhem.

That is the true Islam, whether today or tomorrow, is all about compassion and to continue to harmoniously coexist with people of other faiths.

It was an awesome sight when hundreds of people gathered together to show rejection of the hatred and violence by linking arms and standing guard during Friday prayers, one week after the massacre.

Even Mongrel Mob biker gang turned up to stand guard.

We have had enough of hatred, hostility and violence the world over and do not need it in peaceful countries like New Zealand.

Ardern, in the unlikely event if you decide not to seek re-election in New Zealand, we need you in Malaysia.

  4. Pakatan Harapan will be slaughtered completely in GE15 if it goes to bat with Mahathir or Mahathir-style policies.

It is a fool's errand to go courting the section of the populace which was basically anti-Pakatan in GE14 by alienating the very people who DID vote for them.

  5. Wakakakakaka…

"be the Jacinda Arden of Malaysia as our next PM."

Not on this generation. Neither the next!

  6. And the reason neither this nor the next generation as postulated by Mohammad Abduh (paraphrased):

“There are Muslims in Malaysia but no Islam. There are no Muslims in NZ but Islam practiced everywhere.”

Very sad but there may be truth in what he says.

  7. Suggest Nurul upon the dissolution of the current term resign from PKR and join DAP for a win-win situation. Possibility of a DAP Prime Minister. Wakakakaka .............

  8. Poor Toonsie. Now all BN & PAS members have quit the PAC. His own Harapan members also wrote him a protest letter, for Kiandee step down as Chairman.

The Pharoh has no clothes. No more dictator. He has to bow to the demands of the people. Check and Balance. Now isn't this much better than the Dacing of Old? New Malaysia.
