Author Romen Bose has just about had it with what he believes is the selective prosecution of former premier Najib Razak. He has kept quiet all this while, until natural justice appeared to be thrown out of the window.

My Bullshit detector says Romen Bose is writing hogwash.
ReplyDeleteI can respect as a debatable point when people like Ktemoc and Romen Bose argue that there are bigger Crooks in Malaysia than Najib.
ReplyDeleteBut I really consider it beyond the pale when they condemn the whole Malaysian judicial system in defending Najib.
Fron my consideration of the facts, Najib is clearly guilty of the crimes he is charged with. Whether proven Beyond Reasonable Doubt is up to the Federal Court to make the final judgement.
Professional and personal reputation is something that takes years to build up, but can be destroyed quickly if one starts acting in a dubious or unethical manner.
ReplyDeleteRomen Bose was a moderately successful and moderately respected journalist, author and commentator who has been around since the 1990s.
His earlier books were fairly readable on historical subjects and non-partisan even when they touched on social issues and politics.
Things went badly wrong when in 2012, Romen Bose took the consulting job in Najib's Spin Master propaganda outfit. That and his latest book, which is basically an extension of his propaganda job on Najib's team.
He says he no longer has any financial or contractual links to Najib's organisation, but there is no doubt he is still leveraging on his earlier activities.
Just another piece of dishonest and devious propaganda.
