The Syria we once knew is gone

Thanks 'MF':

US Secretary of State John Kerry in leaked audio on anti-Assad forces: “we’ve been putting an extraordinary amount of arms in… Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, huge amount of weapons coming in, huge amount of money…” (Sep 2016)

It’s very hard to talk about what has happened in Syria from 2011 until today, especially over the past two weeks. But I feel the need to express my thoughts and emotions. The Syria we once knew is gone, and the sooner we come to terms with this reality, the better. Whether the situation improves or worsens is uncertain—it will only become clear with time, whether in months or years. People have always been divided about Bashar al-Assad. Some loved him, others hated him. For me, the core issue was about Syria itself: its sovereignty, unity, and role in the region. That was what mattered most to me. This is why I criticized the opposition and armed groups that relied on external funding and support. For me, the issue was not just about the regime; it was about Syria as a whole. Any country that compromises its foundational principles will eventually collapse, and I feared that this was exactly what we were witnessing. What upset me the most was seeing the opposition call for harsher sanctions, fully aware that these would only worsen the suffering of ordinary people. To me, this behaviour was unacceptable, as if they were willing to destroy the country just to seize power. Perhaps this is what led many to continue supporting Assad—not because they were blind to his flaws, but because they saw him as a symbol against foreign intervention and the fragmentation of Syria. But today, after all the sacrifices, and after witnessing the surrender of one city after another, it has become clear that Syria was forced into a deal far greater than it could handle. This means that Assad not only failed to protect Syria from foreign intervention but also abandoned the country to darkness and betrayed everyone who believed in him. For those who stood by him, enduring death, siege, sanctions, and unimaginable suffering, his capitulation wasn’t just a betrayal—it was a humiliation. If he was going to concede in such a degrading manner, it would have been better to pursue a reasonable settlement earlier, perhaps during Davutoğlu’s visit to Damascus in June 2011. Now, since some consider me an opponent of the upcoming political system, I want to clarify one thing: I will not be an opponent. My loyalty lies with Syria and its people, not with any faction or ideology. I will not oppose for the sake of opposition, nor will I be an obstacle or a dissenting voice against rebuilding the country, helping people recover, and reconstructing the state. My writings and opinions have always been aimed at serving the interests of the people, not undermining them. To those who supported the revolution, I hope they have learned from what happened in Iraq and Libya. Foreign powers do not care about our well-being; their support always comes with a price. This is why many opposed the revolutionary project—because they saw the hidden agendas behind such support. In the new Syria, we must preserve the country’s institutions and safeguard our national resources. We must avoid falling into the trap of foreign aid and loans that come with concealed political conditions. If Syria manages its resources wisely, it can rebuild itself without sacrificing its sovereignty. This is all I wish for Syria and its people. We must learn from our mistakes and failures, grow, and mature as a nation. My heart breaks for all that we’ve lost, but my faith in the resilience and recovery of the Syrian people remains steadfast.

  1. I steadfastly restricted myself to a diet of Leftie Wanker and MAGA sites for news on Syria for the past 12.days, to avoid contamination from Evil Neocon views.

    Here's the view....
The Great Bulwark for order and stability in Syria , Bashar alAssad has been overthrown by an evil regime change plot , carried out by Al Qaeda terrorists, coordinated by Neo Ottoman Turkey, supported by the Evil Wankees.
Syria had been ravaged for over 14 years, by terrorist , together with Evil Kurds who siphoned off Syria's oil wealth, backed by the Evil Wankees.

It's amazing how dumb Leftie Wankers have reduced themselves to.

Erdoğan should be watched very closely.

Iran and Russia are weakened, but Turkey remains a large sponsor of terrorism around the world.

    Au contraire...

Dugin, unfortunately, cannot base his thoughts on a fundamental logic. Unlike H. Kissinger, he has a much more rapidly changing way of thinking. As an analyst, I expect him to produce more logical and fundamentally grounded ideas, but he fails to do so. Anything he says could just as easily be said by an ordinary passerby. Particularly, his predictions about Turkey are mostly incorrect.

Looks like Dugin's crystal ball needs recalibrating. Last I checked, the geopolitical chessboard still has a few moves left before anyone shouts 'checkmate' on Erdogan. Maybe it's not betrayal, but a complex game of alliances and interests. #CheckYourFacts

Erdogan Gets His ‘Leader of the Muslim World’ Moment
Syria's change of leadership has given Turkey’s president the regional influence he has always wanted.

Turkey’s president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has come full circle and then some on Syria. At the dawn of the Erdogan era, Turkey’s then-prime minister was Bashar al Assad’s patron—once even proposing that the Erdogan and Assad families vacation together. The two leaders fell out after Assad turned his military against the uprising that began in 2011, resulting in millions of refugees streaming into Turkey.

[They] (Israel/Deep State etc) have been gamed into another situation they cannot escape. They have overplayed their hand and exposed themselves to a massive level, and [they] won’t be able to walk it back.

The genie is out of the bottle.

Assad’s removal hitting the drops cannot, at all, be ignored.

Trump and Flynn’s support for “Israel” should make perfect sense now. It helped embolden [them] and made [them] think they could run the same old playbook without any consequences. [They] are wrong. Trump and Flynn infiltrated them the same exact way they did the Democrats.

It also has a double meaning (IMO), as I believe they DO support Israel - except the Israel they support is the Biblical one, not the country formed by crooked bankers and “elite” bloodlines which then turned into an apparatus (through the Mossad) used to blackmail and control governments all over the world.

My guess is Assad will end up back in power. Perhaps he is merely “out of the picture” while the cleanup happens - kinda like Trump being “out of the picture” while the exposure was happening over the past 4 years here.

How that cleanup happens - I have no clue. But these f**kers are being exposed for ALL the world to see.

This is also why the JFK and 9/11 files and the talk of them being released this time around is so big - because we all know who had a very, VERY large hand in both instances…*coughcoughmossadcoughcough*…

“Israel being saved for last”, indeed. 🔥🔥🔥

You do have to ask yourself one thing, though: Exactly how were our guys able to corral [them] into such a compromising position from which there is no escape? 🤔😉

    “Power is nothing without control”…

    Let’s see what happens.

Extremist armed factions across Syria are carrying out executions of civilians and soldiers amid the chaos following the fall of deposed Syrian president Bashar al-Assad's government.

Al-Mayadeen reports on Tuesday that a video circulating on social media shows armed militants from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the Al-Qaeda offshoot that took control of Damascus on Saturday, carrying out field executions of unarmed men in the village of al-Rabia in the countryside of Latakia.

The pallets were marked with a QR code. And that QR code led to none other than the federal reserve bank of New York.

    1. I only caught a few seconds glimpse of a video clip on yt of people breaking off so-called brick walls in the prison, releasing so-called cruelly incarcerated prisoners as well as finding bones in some of the wall. At the time, I sensed that it is possibly a psyop, to create narrative against Bashar, playing the emotions card and the religious sentiment cards, depending who the observer is. And now, I guess it does takes people with steady mind and stomach to coolly, logically and professionally to go through all the news reports.

The following Redacted News YT interview with an observer, highlight one specific example of the staging of the narrative, a so-called walled up prisoner looking well groom beard and physical structure and seemingly can looked at the sun for the camera after prolong stay in a dark enclosure. And dramatic of the cnn correpondent was also pickout by some online observers and now turn into memes.

So, will try to keep a cool on the report, letting appear accordingly...a repeat of the dramatic of the Afghan airfield running alongside a departing US military plane which had been discredit as an inflatable like those just before normandy dday.

The last official number of war casualties out of Ukraine was reported at 64,000.

ABC is reporting a million lost Ukrainian lives.

It’s unclear what the real number is, but the ABC story seems to pave the way for a sympathetic end to hostilities.

You are normally much better than this...for decades the US government and NATO has attempted regime change after regime change against Assad. You should first ask why and then filter everything else from that...as usual the answer is simple...pipelines and wealth for the international syndicate that sponsors EVERY regime change...well over 100 at this point since WW2 by all the intel agencies established post WW2.

Each one done at the behest of international corporations wanted a country's farmland, cheap labor, gold, oil etc. Even wikipedia recognizes this but for some reason NO western journalist seems to grasp the importance of filtering 'war' information or regime change information through this lense. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_St…

As a result of the persistent refusal to acknowledge the going in position should be this assumption until proven otherwise, the majority of the world believes that ignoring the elephant in the room makes you complicit in the cover up. If you take 5 seconds and review Syrian history you will find the western powers attempting to control it, regime change, strategy of tension since before WW2 but definitely stepped up since.

Assad led a secular government that was despised by many radicals and Christian hating ppl. You remember, the same 'radicals' the CIA/west said were the bad guys five minutes ago like al Qaeda? Mujahideen? ISIS? And yet you just watched all the bad guys, per CIA, overthrow a secular state and ppl are cheering that somehow installing a guy with a $10M bounty on his head as a terrorist was an improvement in Syria.

You're relying on a Syrian 'eyewitness' to confirm CIA talking points is ridiculous. The media breathlessly reported eyewitnesses to the gassing of ppl in Syrian by Assad that all turned out to be a lie. At some point, it will dawn of 'journalists' that the reason no one believes you anymore is bc you report lies as facts and years later with thousands more murdered as a result you print some page 10 story of how everything you said was bullshit.

The death machine is the 'intel' agencies as regime change after regime change installs mass murderers after assassinating secular leaders rationalizing the assassination by calling the leader a communist, a radical Muslim terrorist, mass murder, etc and not in one single case was the installed dictator (selected by the same intel services and usually found to have been educated in the west and attended US military training) ever an improvement over what the CIA eliminated. Well, not an improvement for the country or its ppl but a tremendous improvement for the international syndicate who wanted the resources inside the country that the leader protected for his citizens.

Another weird piece of this that is never mentioned, yet litters history in multiple locations is how schools like School of Americas (now Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation) or Political Warfare Cadres Academy in Peitou which figured out that if you take over political parties or turn armies into political parties you can accuse the good guys of attacking democracy when they attack the actual bad guys. I suggest you read this article that outlines just how pervasive this rot is and it was all set up by real life WW2 war criminals and no one has noticed, especially 'investigative journalists'.
