Palestinians killed at al-Wafaa Hospital ‘obviously patients’
The seven Palestinians who were killed in al-Wafaa Hospital are obviously patients because the hospital treats the elderly. And after the war started, it started admitting people with chronic diseases and functioned as a rehabilitation centre.
All of this is happening as Israeli forces are systematically attacking different hospitals across the Gaza Strip. We’re talking about, according to the Ministry of Health, at least 33 hospitals going out of service in the past 14 months.

Gaza authorities warn of deteriorating conditions with heavy rains expected
The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip says more heavy rain is expected over the besieged enclave starting later today and forecast to worsen by Tuesday.
This exacerbates the suffering of more than two million people in Gaza, many of whom are bereft of adequate shelter. The office stated that 110,000 out of 135,000 tents in Gaza are out of service after having “completely deteriorated”.
More rain and strong winds would especially endanger Palestinians forced to shelter near coastal areas, with some waves expected to rise as high as 2 metres (6ft), it added.

Palestinian detainee from Gaza dies after transfer from Israeli prison
A 51-year-old Palestinian prisoner from the Gaza Strip has died in Israeli custody, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society.
It said Ashraf Muhammad Fakhri Abd Abu Wardah died earlier today in the Soroka Medical Center in Israel after being transferred from Ktziot Prison in the Negev Desert two days earlier.
He had been detained since November 20, 2023, and according to his family, he had no prior health issues.
There have been numerous testimonies, accounts and videos of physical and sexual abuse taking place inside Israeli prisons.
This raises the number of Palestinian prisoners who have died in Israeli custody since the start of the war on Gaza to at least 50, marking the highest death toll in the history of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement since 1967.
As of early December, the confirmed number of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons was more than 10,300, including 90 women and at least 345 children, according to the organisation.
Israel kills at least 13 Palestinians in Gaza since dawn
Medical sources have confirmed to Al Jazeera that Israeli forces have killed at least 13 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip since dawn on Sunday.
Disturbing scenes, including footage of charred and shredded bodies, are coming out of the al-Wafaa Hospital in Gaza after it was hit by the Israeli military. The video below, which has been verified by Al Jazeera, shows civil defence crews transporting casualties in the aftermath as Israeli drones buzz overhead.
