Mafulat-ish Moo-Moo Macam Kacang Lupa Kulit

“Remember your roots, be grateful to UMNO,” peeved MP tells Muhyiddin

PADANG Rengas MP Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz has rebuked Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for saying that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition should consider Barisan Nasional (BN) its main enemy in the 15th general election (GE15).

Nazri said Muhyiddin – who is a former BN deputy chairman and UMNO deputy president – should remember his roots and be thankful to UMNO as the largest Malay party had given him a chance to hold important positions in the country.

“[Muhyiddin] became the Johor menteri besar (1986–1995) because he was with UMNO, and he was also the deputy prime minister after that,” Nazri was quoted as saying by Astro Awani.

“Yes, he was expelled from UMNO but he should not be so vengeful that he forgets what UMNO has done for him and his family.

“As someone who tries to portray a positive image and someone who supposedly adheres to the teachings of Islam, Muhyiddin should show that he is someone who is ready to make peace and not hold grudges.”

According to Nazri it did not matter if Muhyiddin wanted to hold a grudge against his former party. “UMNO does not care if Bersatu [wants to go up against us] because we will make sure they lose,” Nazri added.

He noted that it was not surprising that Bersatu considers UMNO its “main enemy” in GE15 as “Bersatu is unable to match UMNO’s strength”, adding that Bersatu was unable to garner support from the Malays during the 14th general election despite being a Malay party.

“They had to resort to ‘stealing’ a few UMNO MPs to strengthen their party due to their failure to obtain support from the Malays,” Nazri remarked.

“After GE14 Bersatu only had 13 MPS – two more than Amanah because they stole several UMNO MPs who had no principles. Had it not been for the fact they stole those MPs they wouldn’t have many MPs in the Dewan Rakyat.

“What did they do after stealing those UMNO MPs? They betray their friends in Pakatan Harapan and invited UMNO, PAS, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and others to form the government.”

Muhyiddin was previously the deputy prime minister when Datuk Seri Najib Razak became PM in 2009. During Najib’s tenure he was also the UMNO deputy president and was put in charge of the education portfolio.

Due to his criticism of the 1MDB scandal in 2015, he was removed as deputy prime minister in a Cabinet reshuffle, and was sacked by UMNO for “indiscipline” the following year.

In August 2016, he registered Bersatu as a new political party alongside former Malaysian prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and became the party’s president. – Sept 28, 2022

  1. To be fair to Moo.. wakakaka...
he criticised Najib for his Kleptocratic tendencies (at least part of which is proven definity true) and he got booted out of UMNO.
So..Moo.really owes no debt of gratitude to UMNO.
