#KerajaanBodoh trends again: When ministers get promoted for incompetence!
WITH three Cabinet Ministers getting promotions despite daily COVID-19 cases breaching the 9,000 mark, netizens trended #KerajaanBodoh on Twitter again signaling their frustration with the situation.
“Why is this proven failure allowed to continuously embarrass Malaysia globally? Every day, the rakyat is growing angrier with these nonsense. Enough!” said user Kev9639.
User Nicholas Lau posted a montage showing how 12 Cabinet members in India were sacked for spike in COVID-19 cases in the country, while ministers in Malaysia were getting promotions for incompetence.
Meanwhile, user Sa stated how certain people in the Government have stained the country’s name in the eyes of others around the world.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Tan Sri Mahiaddin Yassin promoted Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob from senior minister to deputy prime minister. He also promoted Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein to the rank senior minister.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Aziz was later made minister in charge of the National Recovery Plan.
Harsh situation in hospitals
However, Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that his party was pulling out support from Mahiaddin, just hours after Ismail Sabri and Hishammudin’s promotion.
The move created a friction within Umno itself, between those aligned to Mahiaddin and those opposed to the prime minister.
While Perikatan Nasional allies were turning against each other, COVID-19 cases in Malaysia breached the grim 9,000 mark, with death toll piling up by the day.
User WakjenalppelatR claimed that the Government did not care whether the people were mad or not, as they knew the rakyat would do nothing about it.
User Priyasena spoke about the grim situation in hospitals, adding: “We had maternal mortality too. both mummy and baby did not make it..our staff nurse in KK who spoke to her via phone before she was intubated is still traumatised with the loss Pleading #KerajaanBodoh.”
Another netizen called Syaza remarked: “Syaitan (the Devil) must be proud with Malaysian Government #KerajaanBodoh.”
