Mahia doesn't know what to say - dumb as a Spanish Floo

Revocations done according to law, says PMO

The office of Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin (right) says that the revocation was done according to the law before it was announced by law minister Takiyuddin Hassan (left).

PETALING JAYA: The government’s actions to repeal the emergency ordinances were done in accordance with the law, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin’s office has said.

In a statement, it stated that it was decided during a special cabinet meeting on July 21 that the cabinet would not advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to extend the emergency past Aug 1, but would advise the king to revoke all emergency ordinances.

The prime minister advised the people to remain calm and allow the issue to be resolved in accordance with the law and the constitution, in response to the uproar caused by the announced revocation and the palace’s statement.

Najib Razak said Muhyiddin Yassin must take responsibility for what happened and his best option would be to step down respectfully.

KUALA LUMPUR: Muhyiddin Yassin must take the fall for his government’s actions and resign, says former prime minister Najib Razak.

The Pekan MP said although another individual (law minister Takiyuddin Hassan) had misled the house, the responsibility was on the prime minister’s shoulders.

“Following the King’s anger, I am of the opinion that Muhyiddin must take responsibility for what happened and the best option is to step down respectfully,” he said in a press conference today.

“The buck stops with the prime minister.”

kt notes:

Mahia himself has not uttered a word, or dares not. Only Turtle-Egg Head, PMO (but not Mahia himself), Anwar and Najib have done so.

  1. If Mahiaddin resign the entire cabinet must go, like when Toonsie 2.0 resigned. And obviously he has lost the majority otherwise why shut down Parlimen FOUR TIMES today?

The Agong should by convention invite the leader of the parti with the most seats to form a new gomen. Parti 42 lah.

  2. We should also note the old buffoon has not said anything.
