Hamzah: Cops to probe Kit Siang statement on Islamic countries coping with Covid-19
The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) has been instructed to open an investigation into a statement issued by Iskandar Puteri MP Lim Kit Siang in rebutting claims by PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang.
Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin, whose Bersatu party is a coalition ally of Hadi, said Lim’s statement could be seen as seditious and an attempt to disrupt the harmony of Malaysia’s multi-cultural society.
Lim was responding to Hadi’s assertion that the Covid-19 pandemic is a test from God and only Allah’s government can overcome the battle against the disease.
“If this is the case, then we will expect the non-Islamic nations to be the purgatories on earth but how is it possible to explain why Malaysia came out (near the bottom) in countries in the Economist’s global normalcy index losing out to Hong Kong, New Zealand, South Korea, China, Japan, Russia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Taiwan - none of which claim to be Allah’s government!” asked Lim.
Hamzah said that the most important thing for Malaysians is to see this country in peace and prosperity.
“I think there are many that try to incite and divide the people in the country. Of course we will take firm action
“PDRM will investigate and take action not only against Lim but others who spread news that can divide the people.
“I ask everyone not to try to make this issue so inciting that it causes uneasiness in many places and which may cause anger throughout the country at the instigation of some parties,” Hamzah said at the Op Bantu press conference in KL today.
Also present were Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rina Harun and Inspector-General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
Complete failure in containing Covid-19, so fall back on the usual Race and Religion Zombie base.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18 — A DAP leader’s speech to a forum held at the Mega Chinese Methodist Church in Kota Damansara, Selangor last week supports claims the predominantly Chinese party was trying to Christianise the nation, PAS alleged today.
PAS deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man claimed Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong was zealously promoting the “Kingdom of God”, a Christian concept of a spiritual realm over which God reigns or the fulfilment of God’s will on Earth.

F**k Hamzah. Causing disruption of the peace and harmony in malaysia? Yes, so ling as everything is skewed to one race and one religion.
ReplyDeleteIn the land (Middle East)of Allah, there should not have Covid-19 then. How does this idiot and the fake holy man hadi explain?
This is the kind of logic and behaviour that turns people off his religion. I certainly am not a fan.
