With 'friends' like PKR ... (2)

TMI - PAS should give up religious council’s top post, say Penang PKR wings

The Penang PKR Youth and Women wings have urged PAS to relinquish its presidency in the Penang Islamic Religious Council (MAIPP) now that PAS is no longer a member of the opposition pact that make up the state government.

The president of the council is PAS’s sole assemblyman in Penang, Datuk Mohd Salleh Man. He holds the Permatang Pasir state seat in the parliamentary constituency of Permatang Pauh.

In a joint press conference chaired by the state Youth and Women chiefs, Asrol Sani Abdul Razak and Nur Zarina Zakaria said Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had declared that the new Pakatan Harapan coalition excluded PAS.

Zarina said logically, PAS should not hold on to the position when the Islamist party was no longer part of the coalition.

“We don’t think it is appropriate for PAS to keep the position any more, so we propose that the position be given to a PKR representative,” she said during the press conference at the Penang PKR headquarters in Seberang Jaya today. There had been rivalry between PAS and PKR for the presidency of MAIPP, even before Salleh was first appointed in 2012. [...[

Asrol said they had not approached Salleh to ask him to quit but they had written to Lim, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and the Penang Islamic affairs exco Datuk Abdul Malik Abul Kassim on the matter.

Wakakaka. It's not Lim Guan Eng or DAP who is pushing this, but PKR.

In fact, on 18 June 2015 TMI reported:

The sole PAS assemblyman in Penang is still part of the state government, said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, now that the state is under a coalition government led by DAP following the end of the opposition pact under Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

He said Permatang Pasir assemblyman Datuk Mohd Salleh Man was still part of the DAP and PKR Penang government even though PR ceased to exist.

"We had a meeting yesterday evening. This was the decision accepted unanimously by all 30 Pakatan Rakyat reps," he told reporters today.

Salleh is president of the Penang Islamic Council, a position appointed by the Agong, and chairman of Penang Zakat.

And PKR wants PAS to be part of Pakatan, especially in Selangor.

With friends like PKR, you sure don't need enemies. Wakakaka.

PKR: PAS bro, we still need you to be in Pakatan

wakakaka

Because of their fucking ketuahnan Melayu mentality they lost badly in Sabah and Sarawak and thus the GE13.Come GE14,these dukuheads will also lose their underwears and panties. Then they will be having a real open house in their haven of whores.

  2. i've been following you blog for three to four years now. i'm piqued by your desciption on political issues in Malaysia, but i have one question that i just couldnt help asking you about PKR and other Malaya-based parties (but specifically PR/PH bloc la).

what do you think is best for Sabah then if even PH is not so clean. will a local opposition party alliance be the best way forward, or Sabah should incorporate Malaya based parties to represent the state's people?

excluding the fact about good or bad polticians aside, which will be better then for Sabah?

    1. We should ALL be Malaysian-minded, and thus politically we should subscribe to national based parties but with allowances for regional interests and characteristics. Thus Sabahans ideally should go for national based parties like Pakatan Harapan (PH) or Barisan National (BN) but where its regional branches have local flavours (not too much that they would blanket off national level policies and interests).

Hopefully one day we can have only two parties nationally but for this to eb achieve not by enforced laws but by natural selection by the rakyat (eliminating the kutus as we have those kutus like PPP, PCM, KITA, KIMMIA and the other nonsensical flea type parties - PSM is also a kutu party but admittedly it has very good and sincere politicians who won't get anywhere so long as they try to retain their PSM; they're better off in other socialist type parties like DAP).

Regional or local type parties not only cater for local warlords who won't be able to bring the best benefits for the rakyat but are also very parochial/divisive.

Virtually every political party in the world is NOT completely clean. Some are worse than others - you can guess from my posts which I dislike and which I tolerate, wakakaka But in the end, it's up to party members to try their sincere best to keep their own party as clean as would be possibly reasonable. But of course, overt corruption should not be tolerated, nor should treachery and hypocrisy be.

What's best for Sabah is, in my opinion, a situation where the Sabahans elect PH and BN into a close 2-party outcome - by keeping their parliamentary strength as close as possible, say ideally, 53 versus 47% (just arbitrary figures to keep them nearly matched but not too close) or thereabouts, that will keep them as 'honest' as can be. Don't give any too large a majority as that will make the bigger one arrogant and worse, unaccountable, But don't make their majority too slim or worse, in a hung parliament. That will engender political instability and party hopping.

We're not quite there yet but almost. I like to see PH versus BN at around, say, 116 vs 106 (wakakaka) BUT (this is important) reflected in every or almost every state [meaning the 53 vs 47% situation to be ideally in almost every state, not just national level]

Don't tolerate frogs - punish them severely into one-term MP or ADUN, bye-bye them after one term forever. Don't allow any to be a racist - punish them the same way. Most of our voters are light years from this enlightened state

The most important personality in Westminster democratic politics is the voter. Be discerning and be ready to vote in good policies, governance and accountability; also be ready to punish racists, demagogues, warmongers and religious fanatics

Personally for me, I'll never trust or vote in any politician who uses religion at any time in his/her political discourse and activity, whether he/she is a Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, etc which is why I would never vote PAS or any Hallelujah-wailing or Omitofu-type politician. I despise politicians who (mis)uses god as their political vehicle

It is not a fair comment because you do not believe in religion/God.
