SYRIA AND PHILIPPINES ENTERING UNKNOWN TERRITORY
PHILIPPINES : There appears to be plenty unhappiness going on in the Philippines. The president Ferdinand Bong-Bong Marcos (son of the other Marcos) appears a little confused especially in his foreign affairs. He seems to be trying his best to be America friendly. Opposed against him is the vice president of the Philippines Sara Zimmerman Duterte, 46 who is the daughter of the previous president Rodrigo Duterte. In the Philippines the vice-president is independently elected by the people so the VP cannot be "fired" by the president.
The VP recently made a death threat in public against the president and his family. She said that if the president tried to assassinate her she has already hired hitmen to kill the president and his family. A storm in a tea cup. Some pro-Marcos activists are now trying to impeach the VP for her death threats against the president. The VP is very popular and will be most likely running for president in 2028. That is four long years away. I believe the Philippines has a very good system where the president can only serve for one term of six years. No second term. We should change our system to be something like this.
Bong-Bong is messing up. Former president Duterte who is 79 years old says Bong Bong is a drug addict.
SYRIA - It looks like the Russian troops are still in Syria. They are in the Russian naval base in Tartus and the airbase at Khmeimim. Most likely they will be leaving on their own accord but the situation is still fluid in Syria. The Hayat Tahrir Shams (HTS) fellows are now providing security around the Russians - to make sure no harm befalls the Russian troops. The HTS leader Al Jolani has made statements that he wants to cooperate with Russia. The HTS is backed 100% by Erdogan who also has good relations with Russia.
Russia also uses the bases in Syria to support their troops in Africa but it is not impossible for Russia to move elsewhere for example to Libya. Yesterday Russia has decided to stop all shipments of grains to Syria. Russia is the largest supplier of grains and food to Syria. Russia says this is because of security reasons. It will now be up to Erdogan to take over this role in Syria. It is not likely that Erdogan will be able to supply food to Syria. The Syrian people are going to suffer even more.
Russia is a huge industrial and agricultural power. Russia is the largest economy in Europe, larger than Germany and Britain. Russia produces more than twice the amount of steel that Germany produces. Russia is also among the largest grain exporters in the world. They have the capacity to maintain food supplies for an entire country like Syria. Turkey is not an industrial or agricultural power though they do export vegetables around Europe including to Russia. They may not have food to spare to send to Syria.
In Syria millions of school children have not been to school for the past five years. The war has totally disrupted their country. Teachers have not been paid salaries.
Yesterday I saw a Syrian shawarma seller in Putrajaya.

ReplyDelete"Russia is the largest economy in Europe, larger than Germany and Britain"
ReplyDeleteWhere did Syed Bodoh the Russia-licking idiot get his data from ?
Source IMF

United Kingdom: $2.67 trillion
France: $2.63 trillion

Brazil: $1.92 trillion
Australia: $1.69 trillion
South Korea: $1.67 trillion
Mexico: $1.46 trillion
Spain: $1.41 trillion
Wakakaka…
DeleteGDP data r archaic & sources without due considerations to the aftereffects of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Key note, those number for Germany, UK, France etc r all over estimated !
"aftereffects of the Russia-Ukraine war."
DeleteWakakaka..As of today 16 Dec 2024, the Russian Rouble is worth Malaysian 4.38 sen...that's NOT the symptom of a Russian economy thar is stronger thaN Germany or Britain....only Russia arse-lickers believe that.
I know a guy who still does business trading with Russia, and he is fuming..the Rouble crash has wiped out the modest benefits from the business.
There is no problem shipping most goods to and from Malaysia and Russia..no Malaysian Government sanctions. Z payments are a different matter. Even though Malaysia has officially declared there are no financial sanctions on Russia, no Malaysian commercial bank will touch a Russia international payment or receipt.
The Wankees basically have an open threat to any bank operating internationally.
You either do business with Russia or you do business with USA and US Dollars.
You try to do both....let's see what happens to you..
So this guy operates payments through an agent in KL, who has arrangements with an intermediary in China, who completes the transaction with a Russian agency...or the other way round for receiving from Russia.
Everybody in the chain gets his "coffee money", so all in all its a very underground and corrupt arrangement.
His main hope is now Trump will quickly lift US Russian sanctions for his buddy Puting.
Wakakaka…
DeleteSo so cute in proving yr know nothingness!
Against the tireless manipulation of strength of the US$, almost ALL currencies r showing weakness vis-a-vis the greenback.
So why just single out the rouble? What happened to the €, ¥ & £? R they weathering anything better than rouble?
Since the rouble is barred using SWIFT network, alternatives r available!
& don't u know that all these systems (SWIFT included) charge commission?
Mfer, where do u learnt yr imoex skill?
"So why just single out the rouble?"
DeleteBecause the Syed Bodoh here was bragging about how powerful the Russian economy is... when the reality is printing money go feed its war machine. Russia either succeeds in crushing Ukraine in the next 6-9 months ( a big question mark unless Donald Trump cuts off all US aid to Ukraine) or Russia is headed for the same bin as the USSR
Ooop… mfer, u want to challenge reality with yr kind of economic understanding?
DeleteTalking about bragging?
None more expressive than u!
Time will tell.

Francesca Albanese (UN) Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian ๐ต๐ธ territories tears into the members of the Security Council for turning up with the same script:
‘After 42,000 have been killed, have you no empathy for the Palestinian ๐ต๐ธ people’

Chaos in Canada!
Freeland resigned today, just hours before she was supposed to report the fall budget numbers.
The next person in line below Freeland then immediately resigned.
Now Trudeau is considering resigning…
What are they so afraid of?
