How Type C convert TikToker gets infected by Siti Mastura syndrome following PAS indoctrination
IF ever there is a similarity between up-and-coming Muslim convert preacher Rayyan Wong and PAS Kepala Batas MP Dr Siti Mastura Muhammad, it has to be how the Islamist party is able to brainwash the Tunku Abdul Rahman University’s accounting graduate to partake its no brainer cause.
Hailed as a young ustaz with substantial following among millennial Muslims on TikTok, the 22-year-old Johor Bahru (JB) born Rayyan’s path to ‘self-destruction’ bears semblance with that of Siti Masura who holds a doctorate degree in Islamic development management from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
While the 35-year-old Siti Mastura was ‘duped’ into defaming DAP’s powerful trio of Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng and Teresa Kok which eventually burned a RM825,000 hole in her pocket, Rayyan had to apologise for reprimanding the Agong and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for their much-praised asam pedas feast at a famous JB Chinese restaurant.
But the quest of the 2024 PAS Youth Chief Award recipient who was widely applauded by his fan base for daring to speak up fell flat as the eatery in question, Kedai Makanan Jadi Baru (Botak), is said to possess halal certification.
Like Siti Mastura, the trolling Rayyan get from Madani government backers has been intense – ranging from PAS has thrown him under the bus” to asking the “cops to take strict action against those who defame Malay rulers”.
Pro-Pakatan Harapan (PH) supporter BULETIN RMS (@RajaMohdShahrim) has cast fear into Rayyan by insinuating that the police are in the midst of locating him.
Pihak berkuasa sedang mengesan seorang lelaki bernama Rayyan Wong. Sesiapa yang mengetahui lokasi lelaki ini, sila kebalai polis berdekatan bagi membantu siasatan
“Anyone who knows the whereabouts of this man is asked to contact the nearest police station to assist in the investigation,” he quipped in a post on the X platform.
Social media influencer JOKER(@tjerealjoke) hit out at PAS for “bring really good at breeding slanderers” till the Agong was dragged into the matter (although it was common for PMX to be a victim of slander).
Parti Iblis SeMalaysia memang hebat menternak pemfitnah
PMX tu dah memang biasa laa kena
Ni sampai Agong pon kena fitnah
Ini Raja Melayu
Mana geng semboyan
Mana Fadhli
Mana Jargon
Taknak protes bawak bendera tuduh Cina ancam Islam ancam Melayu cabar Raja ke
Tok Perak (@TokPerak8) ticked off Rayyan for blindly emulating “the behaviour of PAS leaders” with one commenter rightly pointed out that “the palace would surely have conducted ample check prior to the Agong dined there”.
Ikut lagi perangai pemimpin Pas
Kedai cina tu ada sijil halal tapi dia punya fitnah memang pekat
Sekarang kau tanggung lah
Another social media influencer CIKY@Nie (@lady_bugg11) advised Rayyan “not to disintegrate so rapidly” after he was seen posing with a knife.
“You’ve to be strong. Otherwise, don’t get involved in politics .., ahh, that’s it.”
Dah kenapa pegang pisau pulak dik. Nak jd walaun PAS jangan cepat koyak adik oii. Kena kental. Kalau tak jangan campur politik .. ahh sudah
Finally, Suara Rakyat – SR (@SuaraRakyat_SR) described Rayyan’s action as a “very terrible slander against the Agong, the Johor Regent and PMX”.
FITNAH yang cukup dahsyat terhadap Agong, Pemangku Sultan Johor dan Perdana Menteri!!
Kata Rayyan Wong Yong Heng, 22 tahun, dalam TikToknya, teks Cina tu bermaksud "restoran bukan halal".
Anak siapa lah bodoh sangat ni??? Logik ke pemilik restoran letak teks "Restoran Bukan… Show more
The social media influencer went on to point out that Rayyan who was born Wong Yong Heng before he discovered the light on July 26, 2021 had erred in deeming the Chinese text as “non-halal restaurant” (which many netizens have wondered how come he was unable to interpret the meaning given he was Chinese educated).
“For everyone’s information, the said texts simply mean ‘wish you a successful/prosperous business’ (大吉大利); ‘expand your authority’ which is a Johor slogan (大展宏图) while the red text 大吉大利 is commonly seen during Chinese New Year,” justified Suara Rakyat.
“This is far different from the meaning of ‘not halal’!” – Dec 18, 2024
