PUTRAJAYA: A total of 9,152 candidates have been called for interviews for permanent appointments to fill 4,914 vacancies in the health ministry for the year 2023.

The interviews were for 4,263 Grade UD43 medical officers, 335 Grade UG41 dental officers and 316 Grade UF41 pharmacists.

The Public Services Commission (SPA) said the interviews were held from March 1 to 22.

“SPA has submitted a list of names of candidates who attended the interviews to the health ministry on March 31 for a detailed review.

“This is to ensure that all appointed candidates meet the specific conditions set by the ministry,” it said in a statement.

Among the conditions were that the candidates must have been appointed under a contract of service at the ministry, based on the ministry secretary-general’s Circular Number 4 of 2016, and completed graduate training either locally or abroad.

These are for those whose contract appointments were from 2016 to 2020.

Other conditions were that the candidate had never resigned, been terminated or subjected to disciplinary action during the contract period. They must also have never refused an offer of a permanent appointment before this.

“For permanent positions, a total of 4,914 candidates will be appointed, based on existing vacancies.

“The remaining candidates who meet the specific requirements of the ministry, but are not offered a permanent appointment at this recruitment session, will be in the reserve list.

“If there are vacancies in the future, these candidates on the reserve list will get permanent appointments,” it said.

SPA also said the results of the interviews were scheduled to be issued on April 17 via email, announcement on its official portal or its Facebook page.

The letter of offer of permanent appointment, through the Appointment Offer System (MySTP), will be issued on May 2.

Candidates have 14 days to accept the offer and complete all the required documents.
