Chinese more loyal?

This year, between May and June 2017, the Singapore-based ISEAS-Yusof Shaf Institute, in investigating the political preference of Johoreans found that 88% of people from this state identify as 'Bangsa Johor' rather than 'Bangsa Malaysia'.

Quite surprising from what many would expect, it has been the Chinese in Johor who are most state-proud in being identified as “Bangsa Johor”.

Their numbers in the community who consider themselves Bangsa Johor were 90.5 %, while the Malays came in second at 88.2% and the Indians at 81.7%.

By contrast, when you read Malaysiakini's Najib-Anwar visit - a Rorschach test of Malay politics by Commander (retired) S Thayaparan (my Aneh), you would wonder at that so-called famed 'Malay loyalty' where instead you find Machiavellian back-stabbing a la Hang Tuah killing Hang Jebat or a la Tunku Abdul Rahman being politically assassinated by Malaysia's Cassius and Brutus or a la the 1998 events, wakakaka.

It seems that in loyalty-to-leaders, the Chinese beat Malays hands down, wakakaka.

wakakaka

I wonder whether that could be due to Chinese DNA containing 'loyalty to raja dan negara' genes for more than 5,000 years.

Or could it be because of their revolt of this man?

It's only their devotion to the 'agama' that Chinese lose out to Malays, wakakaka.

  1. Wakakakaka...mana u baca lah,

"Chinese DNA containing 'loyalty to raja dan negara' genes for more than 5,000 years."

The Chinese's 'loyalty to raja dan negara' genes ONLY stay dominance when there is peace & prosperity in the land. W/O these 2Ps, the genes remain recessive.

Hence the continuing changing circle of dynasties throughout the 5000 years of history!

It also explaines WHY mamak was supported by the CinaBengs in the 1999 general election.

“When the Malays turned away from umno and felt that they had enough of Tun M’s ways, it was the 20% of Chinese votes that helped Barisan win in that general election.”

That's practicality displayed to the tilt lah!

    1. The Chinese never would speak of such low-class materialism. They would instead proclaim the Mandate of heaven had changed, wakakaka

    2. Memang betul to the nth.

      Face mah!!!

5000 years of immersion into this cauldron of superficiality (definitely NOT low-class materialism) has turned this meme-ed behaviour into a permanent gene le!

  2. Mahathir's constitutional amendment curtailing the power of the Sultans was a very good thing.

Many of the stories of Royal excesses, extra-legal exercises of power, commission of illegal acts with impunity were blood-curdling.

And , yes, including especially the Royalty of the State you mentioned.

  3. The Chinese are like Lallang all over the world. You find them in the remotest corners of Africa, on isolated islands in Oceania, deep in the Amazon.
Most of them still have the "Sojourner" mentality.
They have no fundamental loyalty to the country that they are residing in "for the moment". They are just transient economic migrants in their mind.

It is no surprise that many countries consider their Chinese populace "a problem". If they are just a small minority, it is just a minor irritant. However, in a number of countries, including Malaysia, their numbers are enough to threaten national stability if not resolved.

Thailand and Indonesia chose the path of enforced assimilation.

The fundamental "Chinese problem" remains unresolved in Malaysia.

    2. This zombieic moron is still living in the past, soliloquizing about the "Chinese problem"!!

If the Chinese CAN be found in the remotest corners of Africa, on isolated islands in Oceania, deep in the Amazon, in short ALL over the world, it's bcoz of their adventurism in exploring/taking on the unknowns.

Many of these Chinese have been living, builting & contributing in their adopted lands for centuries through blood, sweat & tears WITHOUT due recognitions until years later.

Many had died fighting for the independence of their adopted lands from colonial powers.

IS this TRACE of transient economic migrants WHEN they partake relentlessly in the nationhood development?

Is this the syndrome of "Sojourner" mentality WHEN they have been inhabited the land for centuries?

Many of the later generation, born & breed in the adopted land, r still been considered as a threat to national stability due to their diligence, hardworking & business acumen.

In the past, the other races of some of the lands COULDN'T compete, due to whatsoever factors, suffer in envy & nurtured a fatalistic siege mentality.

To salvage their bruised ego & wounded pride, they enforced assimilation, thinking that such action WOULD lighten their bigoted thinking.

Thailand and Indonesia went that path & r reversing that past misdeed NOW with more liberal attitude towards their Chinese countryman!

Meanwhile the tongkat addicted bolihland weaklings continue to seek whatsoever within the confinement under the tempurung. The siege mentality has mutated into freaking ketuanan right! Thus, can't grow out of that "Chinese problem" trap!
