Sahabat Yadim or ‘Friends of Yadim’ (Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia), who are Islamic propagating communities in the local tertiary institutions are seen as capable of curbing the alarming spread of atheism in this country.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the approach of Sahabat Yadim in propagating Islamic teachings was more open, dynamic, not rigid and not following any political ideology, but based on knowledge and facts.
He said they could indirectly help pass on knowledge on Islam to all students regardless of their race and ideology or religion.
“The main issue now is to mainstream people’s understanding of Islam based on the Malaysian approach, that is, taking into consideration the country’s multiracial and multireligious society.
“We should celebrate this plurality as Islam in Malaysia is not obsolete, nor radical or extreme.

“This is because it is based on ‘wassatiyah’ or moderation and on the Quran which offers no space for any form of extremism in religion nor liberalism.” Asyraf Wajdi said this to reporters after opening the Sahabat YNational Convention 2017 at Dewan Sultan Mizan, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, here, today.
I know that GE-14 is just around the corner so I suspect the dumbo-defective deputy minister is now trying to gain brownie points by combining his anti-atheist campaign with a sneaky proselytising approach.
As a Muslim deputy minister, dumbo-defective as he is, he should, nay, MUST not intrude into non-Muslim domains, be those atheistic or religious, and these include non-Muslim students via his proposed message to pass on knowledge on Islam to all students regardless of their race and ideology or religion.
Just as we non-Muslims have been told time and time again to stay out of Islamic issues, which BTW we always have, notwithstanding his required regular tribal arousing mantra, he should f**king do likewise and not be a double-standard 'Yankee-rised' insidious intrusive interfering ar$#h@le.
Do NOT interfere with the spiritual beliefs (or non-beliefs) of non-Muslims.
I can see this prick is getting on your tits
ReplyDeletetheir faith are so fragile internally they compensate it with a show of piety and reverence externally as though they can fool the almighty

ReplyDeleteIt is permitted in the FC, under Article 12(2): "..it shall be lawful for the Federation or a State... to provide or assist in providing instruction in the religion of Islam and incur such expenditure as may be necessary for the purpose".
But there shall be no compulsion as clearly stated under Article 13(3) of FC.
Typo error.. Should be Article 12(3) not 13(3). My apology.
DeleteProf Dawkins just called this one stupid.....!!!!
ReplyDeleteMuslims have a right to propagate their religion in peace. Its fair enough.
ReplyDeleteBut I have never agreed with the Malaysian constitutional ban on anyone else promoting religion to Muslims...
