Ismail Sabri: Not within Umno's powers to grant Najib pardon even after winning GE15

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 26 — Umno does not have the power to grant former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak a pardon for his crimes even if it wins the 15th general election (GE15), said its vice-president Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today.
Ismail Sabri said that only the Yang di-Pertuan Agong can decide on Najib's application to be pardoned.
"The government is consistent with the stance that we will not interfere with court matters... Umno is the same," he said when met by reporters after the officiation ceremony of the Media City building in Angkasapuri here.

ReplyDeleteSince the Backdoor Gomen took over, So many UMNO figures have enjoyed DNAA's (Discharge Not Amounting to Acquittal) from the prosecution declining to pursue the court case any further.
ReplyDeleteThe so called DNAA claimed as not acquiting the accused, is Bullshit, because it is Followed inevitably by Acquittal by the Trial Judge, the case outcome is basically a fait accompli once the Prosecutio declines to pursue the indictment any further.
