Son of Something2Hide?

After my post Pribumi member claimed Nothing2Hide chaos was deliberately started by Pribumi in which we learnt that Wan Mohammad Ashraf Nasjaruddin, PPBM Shah Alam security director, claimed the commotion at the Nothing2Hide forum 'exploded' (with flares and flying chairs) when Mahathir was asked a question about Memali.

Wan Mohammad said: “I lodged the first police report because I want the police to investigate the fracas. A video clip of the forum shows that the chairs were hurled in my direction and not towards PPBM chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“I suspect that those involved were from among the organising committee, secretariat and several PPBM members themselves.
“The chaos was triggered to prevent me from asking Dr Mahathir several other questions after those on the Memali incident were asked by others”

Maybe there was Something2Hide, wakakaka - see also my post Something2Hide? in which I wrote:

Tuan Ibrahim has been succinct in posing a question now confronting Pakatan Hrapan and which I bet, Lim Kit Siang dares not answer, namely:

... if those who previously pursued justice for Memali victims have muted their hunger for the truth simply because they needed Dr Mahathir’s political clout for the next general election ...

... which I would like to paraphrase as:

... if those who previously pursued justice for Malaysians who suffered during Mahathir's 22-year premiership have muted their hunger for the truth simply because they needed Dr Mahathir’s political clout for the next general election ...?

Then yesterday the Star Online published Pribumi member Mohamad Taufik sacked over forum fracas, which extract follows:

KUALA LUMPUR: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Youth committee member Mohamad Taufik Abas claimed that he has been sacked over the fracas at the Nothing to Hide 2.0 forum in Shah Alam last Sunday.

He said he came to know of the sacking over Twitter but had yet to receive an official letter from the party.

He regarded as unprofessional the action by Pribumi Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman in sacking him over social media.

His sacking was attributed to him raising a question on the Memali tragedy when party chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was fielding questions.

"I only came to know of it through Twitter. Can you imagine a Youth wing leader resorting to this, it’s too childish. There should have been an official letter, I should have been called up at a closed-door meeting, not in this way,” he told a press conference here Friday.

He also said that during the fracas at the gathering, chairs were hurled at him and not at Dr Mahathir.

The commotion erupted as Dr Mahathir was replying to a question on the Memali tragedy.
Several guests started throwing footwear, chairs, water bottles and flares.

“When I asked a question about the Memali incident, Tun replied. When I asked the second question, the chairs were thrown close to me and others.

“Then there were people claiming that this was designed to injure Tun when it was clear in the video clip that he was far away and was unhurt”

It seems 'sacking' unwanted vocals within one's party seems normal in Pribumi, not unlike UMNO, but then they're birds of the same feather.

So, was there really Something2Hide?

Maybe Pribumi Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman may have Something2Say? Wakakaka

  1. Why Mahathir's famous quotes,'Malays (meaning all Malaysians) have poor memories" works. It is because those who have endured the wrath of the old man are people who have contacts or are either dealing directly or indirectly with him or his officials. These are the people involve in politics, businesses or cronies who have fallen out of favor. They do not concern the ordinary people who go minding their own businesses. That is the reason ordinary people worry more about earning a living, and putting at least three meals on the table each and every single day. They have no time to busy bodying into politicians businesses.
