KJ: Tiong King Sing position as a Cabinet minister is forever secured as PMX is beholden to him

THIS is one bitter pill from former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ) that critics of Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Tiong King Sing will find it difficult to swallow.

In the name of political reality, the former three-term Rembau MP doubted that action will be taken against the six-term Bintulu MP primarily because prior to the GPS coalition joining the unity government, Tiong was the first Sarawakian MP to have pledged support for the appointment of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Malaysia’s 10th Prime Minister.

“This has given him a rather big invulnerability/invisibility (kekebalan yang besar) in such that he’ll be safe from any Cabinet reshuffle regardless of what he utters, even if he blabbers,” justified KJ who was sacked from UMNO for sabotaging the party in his recent Keluar Sekejap podcast.

Biar pon negara jahanam tapi ini musibat menteri perlu di kekalkan demi servival politik Pmx ?!?

“This is the political reality … we’re not faulting PMX because this is all about political survival. This is the cost of being PM … you’ve to accept people like Tiong King Sing even though majority of Malaysians wants this guy gone from the Cabinet.”

In the earlier part of his podcast which he co-hosts with former UMNO information chief Shahril Hamdan (who currently undergoes a six-year suspension from UMNO), KJ expressed amazement at the manner the 63-year-old Progressive Democratic Party (PDP) president is wooing tourists from Mainland China to Malaysia.

180º turn

“Only now I realise that tourists from China are keen to visit Malaysia because of (commercial) Mandarin signages … I can’t fathom enough the ingenuity of Tiong King Sing,” revealed KJ.

“Only now I understand that the Chinese population and citizens in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou discuss with their family members to visit Malaysia as there are Chinese signages there.

“Nevertheless, I feel that even though the backlash on the minister has been rather intense and extensive in this case (over the removal of signages that fail to accord sufficient prominence to the Malay language by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall), this is very much a reflection of political reality.”

Interestingly, KJ’s latest observation of Tiong is a 180º turn from a year ago when both of them had a spat after the latter accused KJ of being the worst health minister ever for failure to pass the Generational Endgame (GEG) bill which was KJ’s brainchild.

This was when KJ rebutted in several Instagram posts by questioning Tiong’s competence while claiming that the Cabinet member reflected poorly on PMX’s administration.

“It’s 2023 and there’s still a minister who questions the link between smoking and cancer. Honestly, what kind of half-past six ministers do you have? You’re only as good as your ministers,” Khairy wrote on Instagram, tagging PMX’s account. – Dec 6, 2024

  1. Same old, same old. Look in the mirror lah Lallang, er KJ.

During PN 33 months reign, KJ was secured of his useless Minister job by this same man from Sarawak, lol.

Even more Darurat drama lah since with Abah 2-votes majority, Mr. PDf and KJ would owe and do anything forever then, even let Tiong and other GPS dudes sleep with their wifes in their own beds literally just to keep power, wakaka!
