PAS! Stop meddling with non-Muslims
by Norman Fernandez
NOVEMBER 20 — PAS never ever misses an opportunity to meddle with non-Muslim issues.
Take the latest. PAS Trengganu law-maker Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi (he is cut from the same cloth ) has called on other states and local councils to emulate DBKL’s new liquor rules regulation.
Take the latest. PAS Trengganu law-maker Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi (he is cut from the same cloth ) has called on other states and local councils to emulate DBKL’s new liquor rules regulation.
Under the new DBKL’s guidelines, all sundry shops, convenience stores, Chinese medicine halls, come October 1, 2021 will no longer be allowed to sell hard liquor, although there is no prohibition on selling beers.
Now, listen to the the twisted logic of Muhammad Khalil ( which has to be the official view of PAS) when he says that the “move should be lauded” and that “this effect is in line with with the government’ policy to create a healthy lifestyle and a civilised and responsible society.”
All this from an Islamist political party, whose own Dewan Ulama PAS Perlis’s wife sought a Fasakh (dissolution of marriage) on among the grounds, that he has been doing unnatural acts on her. So much for PAS version of leading and practising a “healthy livestyle” and “civilised society.”

Naturally, PAS or any of its leaders are the last people who should be pontificating to non-Muslims about how to lead a “healthy lifestyle “ or about “civilised society” when their own leaders are proven to lead a despicable lifestyle and worst uncivilised.
Now, here is a question and even a dare.
Instead of being concerned about non-Muslims, why don’t for a change, Muhammd Khalil and his band of ilk, get down from their moral high horse and express their indignation and demand that the government and local councils prohibit sundry shops, convenience stores or the Mamak/Malay restaurants from selling cigarettes to Muslims, or demand these premises put up a sign at the counter that cigarettes cannot be sold to Muslims.
Now, here is a question and even a dare.

Better still instead of the health warning on the cigarettes packets, PAS should go beyond and demand that the cigarette manufacturers, on all their cigarettes packets should carry a warning that Muslims forbidden to smoke.
After all, the late Tuan Guru Nik Aziz in 2009, showed his utter disgust for smokers when he said that “smokers are despicable than the cows” (pity the poor cow). So, it is high time PAS walk the talk and ban both cigarettes and make smoking an offence in PAS administered Kelantan and Trengganu.
PAS can find support and justification to ban Muslims from buying cigarettes and smoking in the National Council’s Fatwas. In 1996, the National Fatwa Council issued a Fatwa, declaring that smoking was haram and then in 2015 again issued another Fatwa that electronic cigarettes including vape are haram.
The National Fatwa Council was of the considered view that from the Shariah aspect, smoking is detrimental to health and can lead to death, damage of body, illness and harm of the mind.
Despite the Fatwa by the National Fatwa Council, it is said that only two states — Penang and Selangor — have declared that smoking is harmful, with Penang even going further by declaring that Muslims are forbidden to sell cigarettes.
Now, go take look what is on the shelf behind the counter at most nasi kandar restaurants.
Surely PAS knows that a cigarette is not just just tobacco and paper, but there are approximately 600 ingredients in a cigarette and when burned it creates more than 7,000 chemicals (even the secondary smoke has about 4,000 chemicals ), with at least 69 of them known to cause cancer.
If PAS leaders were to engage their brains, they will know that in Malaysia, cigarette smoking accounts for a massive 25 per cent of smoking related deaths, making 3 out of 5 of the top cause of death.
With RM1.5 billion spent by Malaysians on cigarettes, it should be manifestly obvious to PAS, which community has the largest percentage of smokers. In fact, some from this community, then graduate to become drug addicts and become the majority drug abusers.
Thus, PAS should look within and pontificate to their own community and advise them to lead a “healthy lifestyle” and to live a “civilised” life. Stop the fixation with non-Muslims.
Abraham Lincoln once said, “better to remain silent, and be thought as a fool than to speak and remove all doubts.” Each time, a Muhammad Khalil or other PAS leaders opens their mouth, it only confirms what non-Muslims have been thinking of them.
So, maybe Muhammad Khalil ( and the rest of the ilk) should keep his mouth shut. At least then non-Muslim will think he is only appears to be stupid.
MCA is following this rule now because they are greedy to stay in power, suck PAS like curut, keep silent, Boh Lam Phar, but back in 2015 they bark like angry mongrel....Wee KHAT Siong even tell grandmother stories....

Explain ban on alcohol sale at Chinese medicine shops, minister tells Selangor
Thursday, 28 May 2015
KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 ― The Selangor government must explain the ban on the sale of alcohol by traditional Chinese medicine shops, minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said today, pointing out that the alcoholic products at these outlets are used for general health reasons.
Wee, who is also MCA deputy president, also questioned the state government's silence on the matter, pointing out that the DAP had raised hue and cry before when the Malacca government proposed to ban convenient stores from selling alcohol.
“The Selangor state government is duty-bound to explain why they are doing this,” he was quoted saying by The Star Online.
He reportedly added that Chinese medicine shops have been selling alcohol for decades to help with the general health and wellbeing of its predominantly Chinese customers.
“When my grandmother was alive, she would take one small cup of alcohol every day. She was never hospitalised and lived to the age of 89,” he said.

I recall with horrendous disgust how Teo Nie Ching (prior to 2018) boasted how a Pakatan govt would have UEC recognised in a year; then she showed her mousy self under Bapak Kasut Hitam, and kept silent like Penang's Mt Erskine cemetery when KHAT was introduced by her Towkay
DeleteMCA's Mah Hang Soon was Teoh Nie Ching's successor, and right after he was appointed Senator and made Deputy Education Minister he shriveled THREE TIMES when asked by reporters about UEC recognition.
DeleteMCA Still Need Another 60 Years....? No disgust here....?
TUESDAY, MARCH 10, 2020 UEC a priority? Mah asks for more time MCA deputy president Dr Mah Hang Soon today refused to state whether he would pursue government recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate as deputy education minister. After being sworn-in as a senator this morning, Mah was asked three times by reporters on the matter and dodged the topic.
Reporter: Previously MCA said they were on the last mile for UEC recognition. Do you see hope since MCA is back (in power)?
Mah: To me, whatever has been said... My focus now is to, well, focus on my job. Like I said, I'm not someone who likes to talk a lot. Those who know me know that I'm the one who prefers to focus on my job. So give me some time.
Reporter: Will UEC be your top priority?
Mah: Give me some time. I need to... Number one, to get to know this job description first and I will certainly give my utmost, my best.
Reporter: Do you think you can do what (your predecessor) Teo Nie Ching could not do in regard to the UEC issue?
Mah: Let's not deal with other issues. Give me some time. Let me get on the job and we will see. Thank you very much. I will certainly do my best to assist my boss, the education minister, in delivering our mission and vision.

Does KT recall this?
DeleteWhen Wee KHAT Siong was in opposition he was so LOUD and PROUD against the teaching of KHAT, even though he was the Deputy Education Minister when it was introduced in the primary school syllabus. Now Wee KHAT Siong is so "powerful" in Yiddin's gomen, can topple with 2 MPs but he has gone silent on KHAT....
“Does MCA dare to criticise Yiddin in defence of Chinese educationists?
“Or will they be quietly obedient and be with him in continuing to condemn those who oppose them as ‘racist’?”

Wee: Many other groups also against teaching khat in schools
Wednesday 14-08-2019
PETALING JAYA: MCA has refuted Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s labelling of Chinese educationist group Dong Zong as “racist”, saying that many other groups are also opposed to introducing khat in schools.
Party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the Chinese and Indian communities, the Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism, former minister Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, lawyer Siti Kasim, columnist Azly Rahman, academician Dr Mohd Tajuddin Mohd Rasdi and many other Malay intellectuals were also opposed to having the subject being made mandatory in the Year Four Bahasa Melayu subject.
“We are not racist. Thousands of us oppose this, but it’s not because we hate khat.
“We respect the cultural and artistic value of Jawi calligraphy, as well as the education approach in Chinese and Tamil primary schools.
“That is why we agree that khat should be included in the art subject and be made an elective topic or extracurricular learning in primary schools, but not necessarily to make it mandatory in the Year Four Bahasa Melayu syllabus, ” Dr Wee wrote in a post on Facebook.
On Monday, Dr Mahathir said Dong Zong was “racist” as it frequently protested the government’s education policies, including the setting up of Sekolah Wawasan (Vision Schools) at the primary level. DAP leaders had been criticised after the government announced its plan to introduce khat in schools.
Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik said khat would be taught in the Bahasa Melayu syllabus for Year Four in Chinese and Tamil primary schools next year.
Reiterating that the issue was not about race, Dr Wee said it concerned the approach and direction of vernacular education.
“As the only prime minister who had used the now-defunct Internal Security Act against Chinese educationists (in the past), Dr Mahathir should not stir racial sentiment and create a split among the people for political mileage at the expense of Chinese education.
“If defending vernacular education is said to be racist, what about the remarks claiming ‘Chinese are rich’ and the decision to maintain the 90% quota for bumiputra students in the pre-university matriculation programme?
“Does DAP dare to criticise Dr Mahathir in defence of Chinese educationists?
“Or will they be quietly obedient and be with him in continuing to condemn those who oppose them as ‘racist’?” Dr Wee asked.

42 MPs, still boe laam phar so you expect 2 MPs to do more?
DeleteVerily, verily I tell you the true, you will betray your "ju-lai" (read grandfather) when asked 3 times by the reporters. Wakakaka .......... Please don't jump to conclusion, I am no member of you know what I mean ......... wakakaka
DeletePlease be fair to TNC, at least she did push the subject UEC in the cabinet only it did not get approval. At least she tried her best to set a target date wanting to do it. Did MCA ever bring up the subject to the cabinet before and now when they were/are in the cabinet? Did MCA set any target to achieve that? Information shown that they have never reached that stage except skirting around making grandstanding announcement telling grandmother story to the Chinese voters

Ha ha..PAS will just ignore what has been written and pretend what Nirman wrote does not exist.
ReplyDeleteIt goes further to illustrate the pompous hypocrisy of these so-called men of God.
However, to me it will be a question of when Malaysia will be fully controlled by the islamists. It will probably happen in the next generation. For nons, you have an exit strategy
sundty shop no contribute vellfie, muslim own hardrock can, thats pas version of islam with hadi characteristic.
ReplyDeleteMCA is willing to be compliant to accept PAS-definition of "Healthy Lifestyle ".
ReplyDeleteThe Nons should just accept it, I suppose.
KHAT did not involve legal sanctions and restrictions , and imposing Islamist imperatives on non-Muslim society, I hardly find the issues comparable.
Those who went through the National School system in the 1970s studied Jawi, which is Bahasa written in Arabic script. Everyone I know who went through that remained as Buddhist, Taoist and Christian, as far as I know.
Wah so much comments just about alcohol ha? The way i see it, if the alcohol consumers can guarantee to stop running down innocent bystanders on the street, at least you cudve fought for yr so called rights.. But knowing alcoholics i doubt it.. 😂 plus didnt u guys wanted to follow singapore and the west in so much aspects.. Well the western influence has arrived..
