Cleaning company boss charged with 9 counts of sexual assault on daughter

The accused had allegedly committed the sexual crimes against his daughter over the past 14 months

KUALA LUMPUR: A proprietor of a cleaning company, who had been charged with 41 counts of committing sexual crimes against his daughter, was charged in the Ampang Sessions Court here today with another nine counts of committing unnatural sex and physical sexual assault on the same girl.

“I plead not guilty”, said the 42-year-old man with five children after the charges were read out to him before judge Norhazani Hamzah.

He was charged with six counts of committing unnatural sex with the girl, who was then 15 years old and 11 months, at his house in Bukit Antarabangsa here between last Oct 19 and 29.

The charges were made under Section 377C of the Penal Code, read together with Section 16(1) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which provides for imprisonment of up to 30 years and whipping, if convicted.

He was also charged with three counts of committing physical sexual assault on the girl between September 2019 and March 2020. He faces imprisonment of up to 20 years, and is liable to whipping if found guilty under Section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

The judge did not allow the man, who was unrepresented, bail and set Dec 17 for mention.

Of course he's innocent until proven guilty.

But if he's proven guilty, one wonders at the mentality of such a man who would perpetuate such heinous crimes against his OWN daughter?

Then there is another man, also a father, in Afghanistan who told the Taliban to blind his OWN daughter (33 years old and already married with kids) because he didn't like the idea of her working, FULL STOP.

And according to the woman, named Kathera, several times while going for her job at a police station in Afghanistan’s central Ghazni province, she saw her father following her.

The Old Man contacted the Taliban, provided them with a copy of her ID card to prove she worked for the police and that he had called her throughout the day she was attacked, asking for her location, presumably to inform the attackers. The Taliban shot and stabbed her in the eyes. She is now blind. The father has been arrested by the police.

Again, I have to ask: One wonders at the mentality of such a man who would perpetuate such heinous crimes against his OWN daughter?
