West backing terrorists in Syria – Russia
Russia has reports that the US and the UK might be implicated in supporting the al-Qaeda-affiliated militants currently on the offensive in Syria, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
Hayat Tahrir-al-Sham (HTS) terrorist group, previously known as Jabhat al-Nusra, launched a surprise attack from Idlib last week and has since taken Aleppo and Hama. US journalist Tucker Carlson asked Lavrov who was supporting the terrorists in Syria, during the interview that aired on Thursday.
”Well, we have some information,” Lavrov said. “The information which is being floated and it’s in the public domain, mentions, among others, the Americans, the Brits. Some people say that Israel is interested in making this situation aggravated so that Gaza is not under very close scrutiny.”
“It’s a complicated game. Many actors are involved,” the Russian diplomat added.
Lavrov explained to Carlson that Russia, Iran, and Türkiye brokered a ceasefire in Syria in 2017 and again in 2020, calling this Astana Format “a useful combination of players.”
“The rules of the game are to help Syrians to come to terms with each other and to prevent separatist threats from getting strong,” the diplomat said. “That’s what the Americans are doing in the east of Syria when they groom some Kurdish separatists using the profits from oil and grain sold, the resources which they occupy.”
“We would like to discuss with all our partners in this process the way to cut the channels of financing and arming” the terrorists, he added. — RT
Our Take:
So, according to Sergei Lavrov—who is considered by many to be among the most respected and capable diplomats in the world—the entities backing ISIS in Syria include the United State, Britain, and Israel, among others.
We have already reported on the Ukraine special forces that are training these terrorists, as well as Turkey, who has otherwise been posturing that they will pivot away from Europe and toward Russia. Though Lavrov has now told Tucker that Erdogan is working with Russia and Iran to stabilize the country.
The way I see it, the resurgence of ISIS spells the end of both Neoconservatism and Zionism, because it will soon become clear that both of these political movements—which have used radical Islamic terrorism for decades as a rallying cry to justify their hawkish dispositions—are responsible for funding it.
Simply put, we just watched the Democrat Party get effectively destroyed (discredited beyond repair) during the recent election cycle, and now it is the GOP's turn.
I mean, honestly, how in the world is Lindsay Graham going to explain this? Meeting with Abdelhaqim Belhadj in Libya in 2011? The leader of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group? The Al-Qaeda affiliate in Libya?
That guy in the picture with John McCain and Lindsay Graham later became the leader of ISIS in Libya.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren’t ISIS the bad guys? Aren't those who affiliate with them also bad guys?
It was Belhadj who led the assault against Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi, ultimately murdering him, and the primary consequence of this murder was that hordes of African migrants were unleashed to cross the Mediterranean and invade Europe. (Gaddafi had been holding them back for years.) The secondary consequence was that Gaddafi's legendary armory was raided and the weapons were distributed to CIA-trained "rebels" in Syria through Turkey.
What's insane is that, back then, Lindsay Graham was openly calling for Al Qaeda and the US military to murder Gaddafi.
This is a war crime, especially when you consider that the entire NATO-led operation into Libya was predicated on an Al-Jazeera report that Gaddafi had given Viagra to his soldiers and instructed them to rape women and children in the villages that were harboring terrorists. (This report was later proven to have been entirely fabricated. Whoops.)
Lady Lindsay could get away with this crap 15 years ago, because most of America (and the world) was completely apathetic to this situation in Syria, not to mention ignorant. But things have changed. We have changed. And now, we know what we are talking about when it comes to this theater.
Lindsay Graham should be arrested, and a tribunal should be empaneled to determine whether he did, in fact, commit any war crimes, and if so, whether those war crimes would be tantamount to treason against the United States government.
If we fail to pursue this justice, then we are not a moral society, and do not deserve redemption. That is why I think this story is being recycled, so that this justice can be pursued, and America can be redeemed for the horrifying crimes the State Department has committed around the world.

Full Lavrov-Tucker Interview: US & Russia Need To Cooperate 'For The Sake Of The Universe'
Tucker Carlson first unveiled Wednesday that he had traveled to Moscow to interview Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and the full interview has subsequently been published Thursday night.
Among the most important messages conveyed was directed by Lavrov toward Washington and its allies, which "must understand that we would be ready to use any means not to allow them to succeed in what they call strategic defeat of Russia."
And referencing Russia's recent use of its Oreshnik hypersonic missile, Lavrov expressed hope that Kiev's backers took "seriously" the new weapon, for which Russia says there is no defense, as Moscow remains ready to use "any means" to defend itself. "We are sending signals and we hope that the last one, a couple of weeks ago, the signal with the new weapons system called Oreshnik... was taken seriously," Lavrov emphasized. — ZeroHedge
Our Take: Sergey Lavrov occupies an interesting space in the Russian story, often able to cut through noise in a way Putin's position doesn't allow him to.
His opening response to Tucker is Bicameral signal.
Lavrov is telling westerners that, while Russia effectively IS at war with the US, describing it as a hybrid war, he draws a subtle distinction between that and the America that has Russia's respect and admiration.
While anti-Russia propaganda entered the mainstream narrative circa 2016 with the advent of the Russia Collusion hoax against Trump, and while it no doubt accelerated during the 2022 panic pattern as Putin moved in to liberate the Donbas by Denazifying the Prussian Proxy state on his borders, Russia-US tensions have been seeded going back a century as the ultimate backdrop in what the Deep State has long seen as the ultimate prize in terms of a Great Reset trigger.
They wanted the last war to be Actual. The one we're getting is Narrative, and peace is going to be the winner. — Burning Bright

ANALYSIS🚨 What happened in #Syria in the last few days has left many in shock, how could the Syrian army cede so much territory within a matter of days? As the fog of war settles the picture becomes clearer.
🔻The first step in understanding this is to note that the Syrian army were ordered to retreat from Aleppo/Hama. The soldiers didn't run and there was no mutiny. The AlQaeda hordes didn't defeat the Army, because they didn't fight them in the first place. They simply ceded the ground. To understand why such a gut wrenching decision had to be made we must have to look at the wider chessboard. A thread🧵

I would expect instability for a while in Syria. These rebels are caliphate types who support the growth of ISIS. They are likely to wake up from the hangover and find they have a country to run. The practicalities of managing the country are going to be a challenge.
Christians and Shia Muslims will likely be persecuted.
I would also expect Putin and Trump to want to root them out. Putin was an Assad backer and Trump hates ISIS.
We will have to wait for the dust to settle, but that is my take at the moment.

Opposition fighters in Syria, in an unprecedented move, have totally taken over numerous cities, in a highly coordinated offensive, and are now on the outskirts of Damascus, obviously preparing to make a very big move toward taking out Assad. Russia, because they are so tied up in Ukraine, and with the loss there of over 600,000 soldiers, seems incapable of stopping this literal march through Syria, a country they have protected for years. This is where former President Obama refused to honor his commitment of protecting the RED LINE IN THE SAND, and all hell broke out, with Russia stepping in. But now they are, like possibly Assad himself, being forced out, and it may actually be the best thing that can happen to them. There was never much of a benefit in Syria for Russia, other than to make Obama look really stupid. In any event, Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!

NEW — President Trump
says: "Assad is gone. He has fled his country. His protector, Russia, Russia, Russia, led by Vladimir Putin, was not interested in protecting him any longer. There was no reason for Russia to be there in the first place. They lost all interest in Syria because of Ukraine, where close to 600,000 Russian soldiers lay wounded or dead, in a war that should never have started, and could go on forever. Russia and Iran are in a weakened state right now, one because of Ukraine and a bad economy, the other because of Israel and its fighting success. Likewise, Zelenskyy and Ukraine would like to make a deal and stop the madness. They have ridiculously lost 400,000 soldiers, and many more civilians. There should be an immediate ceasefire and negotiations should begin. Too many lives are being so needlessly wasted, too many families destroyed, and if it keeps going, it can turn into something much bigger, and far worse. I know Vladimir well. This is his time to act. China can help. The World is waiting!"

I do not understand Russia, something is not right about all of this.
The fall of Syria was far too fast and decisive and the military presence of Russia in Syria was too large.
Of course I realize and understand that Russians are fighting NATO and Ukraine on their border but the rebels that took Syria should have been light work for Russia 🇷🇺.
It's almost like Syria was given up without a fight from both Syrians and Russia. It's as if the entire place was abandoned to Israel, the US and Turkey.
I don't understand the Russian mindset with this, but of course I have no idea as to what they know. I'm sure they have their reasons, but it makes me wonder about Russian resolve with Iran.
If an ally is so easily abandoned, will Iran be abandoned as well? I'm not assuming, simply asking or thinking out loud. None of this makes sense, and the battle for Syria was literally just a week long. It's like they just walked in...
I know Putin is a bit soft when it comes to the west. I believe Putin will protect Russia of course but I also believe he wants peace so badly, and he has high hopes with Trump. I wonder if he would be willing to abandon the Middle East to the US and Israel if it meant peace on his borders with Ukraine. A kind of, "We relinquish the Middle East and you relinquish Ukraine 🇺🇦, " situation.
This is speculation, just my own personal thoughts not based in proof, but I can't shake it, something feels horribly wrong about all of this, I think we all feel it but no one knows what or why.
For info...

Rumors Swirl About The West Planning To 'Exile' Zelenskyy
If a ceasefire is reached in Ukraine, the West is considering “exiling” Volodymyr Zelensky to London, writes Do Rzeczy, citing a report out of the Spanish daily El Mundo via government sources in Kyiv.
A rumor has been circulating in diplomatic circles in the Ukrainian capital for two weeks that if a ceasefire occurs, the West will convince Zelensky to “exile” himself to the U.K. and presidential elections will be held in Ukraine.
European peacekeeping forces, mainly troops from Great Britain and France, would then be deployed in Ukraine. Kyiv could also count on “rapid” accession to the European Union and aid for the country’s post-war reconstruction.
Ukraine had a bad November, with Russia occupying the largest amount of territory in Ukraine since March 2022, mainly in the east of the country, near Pokrovsk, according to experts from the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The group says Moscow has occupied a total of 68,500 square kilometers since the beginning of the war, or about 19 percent of Ukraine’s entire pre-2014 territory, including the annexed Crimea and part of Donbas.
Senior aides of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump have met with officials from Kyiv, as the incoming president has made ending the conflict a top priority of his administration, while Zelensky is clearly tired of war.
Head of MI6, Richard Moore, raised alarm bells over the dangerous situation the world is currently facing. After meeting with his French counterpart, Nicholas Lerner, last week, he told the press, “Nicholas and I are in no doubt about the stakes in Ukraine: If Putin is allowed to succeed in reducing Ukraine to a vassal state, he will not stop there.”

I do not profess to know the inner psyche of the ordinary Syrians vis-a-vis Assad. He could be the real tyrant monster that western media portrayed him. It could be otherwise, in that he did tried to manage the complex plurality of Syrian society. The video of Syrian joy at his fall is but a snapshot of the situation on the ground. But it does bring to mind thecsituation in America for the last years, when Trump left the White House in January 2021, only to be make aware of the the theme, "people cannot be told but must experience it for themselves" how bad the planning was being under the discussion amongst those labelled as CT.
ReplyDeleteWill they regret the joy manifested in this video? Most likely Bashar al Assad had completely exit stage left from world arena and something else that the Syrians, if Syria can maintain its current sovereign structure, havevto decide for themselves.
Hence, lets see what will happen.

ReplyDeleteIt’s very hard to talk about what has happened in Syria from 2011 until today, especially over the past two weeks. But I feel the need to express my thoughts and emotions. The Syria we once knew is gone, and the sooner we come to terms with this reality, the better. Whether the situation improves or worsens is uncertain—it will only become clear with time, whether in months or years.
People have always been divided about Bashar al-Assad. Some loved him, others hated him. For me, the core issue was about Syria itself: its sovereignty, unity, and role in the region. That was what mattered most to me. This is why I criticized the opposition and armed groups that relied on external funding and support. For me, the issue was not just about the regime; it was about Syria as a whole. Any country that compromises its foundational principles will eventually collapse, and I feared that this was exactly what we were witnessing.
What upset me the most was seeing the opposition call for harsher sanctions, fully aware that these would only worsen the suffering of ordinary people. To me, this behaviour was unacceptable, as if they were willing to destroy the country just to seize power. Perhaps this is what led many to continue supporting Assad—not because they were blind to his flaws, but because they saw him as a symbol against foreign intervention and the fragmentation of Syria.
But today, after all the sacrifices, and after witnessing the surrender of one city after another, it has become clear that Syria was forced into a deal far greater than it could handle. This means that Assad not only failed to protect Syria from foreign intervention but also abandoned the country to darkness and betrayed everyone who believed in him. For those who stood by him, enduring death, siege, sanctions, and unimaginable suffering, his capitulation wasn’t just a betrayal—it was a humiliation. If he was going to concede in such a degrading manner, it would have been better to pursue a reasonable settlement earlier, perhaps during Davutoğlu’s visit to Damascus in June 2011.
Now, since some consider me an opponent of the upcoming political system, I want to clarify one thing: I will not be an opponent. My loyalty lies with Syria and its people, not with any faction or ideology. I will not oppose for the sake of opposition, nor will I be an obstacle or a dissenting voice against rebuilding the country, helping people recover, and reconstructing the state. My writings and opinions have always been aimed at serving the interests of the people, not undermining them.
To those who supported the revolution, I hope they have learned from what happened in Iraq and Libya. Foreign powers do not care about our well-being; their support always comes with a price. This is why many opposed the revolutionary project—because they saw the hidden agendas behind such support. In the new Syria, we must preserve the country’s institutions and safeguard our national resources. We must avoid falling into the trap of foreign aid and loans that come with concealed political conditions. If Syria manages its resources wisely, it can rebuild itself without sacrificing its sovereignty.
This is all I wish for Syria and its people. We must learn from our mistakes and failures, grow, and mature as a nation. My heart breaks for all that we’ve lost, but my faith in the resilience and recovery of the Syrian people remains steadfast.
This is a fascinating take...read and share as is...there are those who pro him and there those who con him...

My prediction based solely on energy:
I suspect that Syrian President Assad is likely not dead.
This is probably a very meticulously prepared plan.
Comparing the energy I sense from the faces of past Syrian presidents, his feels distinctly different.
Like Tesla or Elon Musk, he lacks the emotional energy typical of humans.
I believe he might be an alien who infiltrated Earth to save the planet.
It feels like he has had that intention from the very beginning.🤔

DeleteDonald Trump said he had an exchange with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in recent days, the first clear indication of direct contact between the two men since the former US president’s reelection in November.
In an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press that aired over the weekend and was taped on Friday, Trump said “we’ve had communication” as recently as last week, without specifying when that was or what was discussed. They last met in person in June 2019 on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit in Japan.
