Mosque thief not ex-PAS Youth leader, says party man
PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden denies claim the man caught stealing money from donation box has links with the party.
Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden told FMT he had checked with local party members, who said the thief had nothing to do with PAS.
PETALING JAYA: PAS Youth has denied claims made on social media that a man caught stealing from a mosque in Tumpat, Kelantan, yesterday was a former PAS Youth leader.
PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden told FMT that he had checked with Kelantan PAS Youth chief Kamal Mohamed, who told him that the thief had never been a party youth chief.
“This has nothing to do with PAS. If he is guilty, then he should be punished,” Afnan said.
Afnan was responding to a post made on X (formerly Twitter) by @lady_bugg11, a pro-government social media influencer, who claimed that the thief was a former PAS Youth chief.
Afnan added that the party was seeking legal advice on the possibility of taking action against the influencer over the allegation.
