RPK: The Mahathir-Daim vs Anwar ‘mega war’ has begun; Anwar has readied RM600m war chest for combat
FUGITIVE blogger Raja Petra Kamrudin (RPK) has spiced up the recent claim by former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin that he has been a victim of concerted witch-hunt by projecting a ‘mega war’ to ensue between Team Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad-Daim and Team Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim-Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
Claiming that the ‘war’ is sparked by fears of Dr Mahathir and Daim conspiring to overthrow the unity government, the opposition-slant mercenary blogger also accused Anwar of having prepared a war chest of RM600 mil “courtesy of two Chinese billionaires whose names need not be mentioned but suffice to say they have just secured lucrative government contracts”.
“Proceeds from both tycoons would be utilised by Anwar to buy the support of opposition MPs but Dr Mahathir and Daim have more money and are going to fight Anwar kaw-kaw (to the fullest),” contended the Manchester-based RPK in his latest video clip.
“After all, Malaysian politics are about money. Who have more money will win. Anwar may pay RM30 mil for a MP with Dr Mahathir and Daim paying RM50 mil but even then, the MP can take from both sides yet nobody knows for sure who he supports at the end of the day. We don’t only have by-election in Malaysia but ‘BUY’ election”.
Added RPK: “This will be a money warfare where money will determine the winner …it’s about who’s going to spend the most money, hence the use of MACC to block/freeze Daim’s money by seizing his assets and that both Dr Mahathir and Daim cannot utilise their billions of assets to oppose Anwar or overthrow the unity government.”
In his quest to defend Dr Mahathir and Daim, RPK went on to school millennial Malaysians that after the old UMNO was deemed unlawful in 1988, UMNO Baru has decided that UMNO’s assets/wealth would no longer be placed under the party’s name but under three trustees, namely Dr Mahathir, Daim and Anwar.
“So, if Dr Mahathir and Daim did indeed steal the money as alleged, then shouldn’t Anwar be implicated for having committed a similar offence (by virtue of him being a trustee)?” asked RPK.
“Many books have written about this but nobody has to to-date sue the authors, publishers, distributors or printers of those books simply because nobody wants the matter to be brought to the court of law.”
What further baffles RPK is why the wait for 25 years to commence the war as Anwar has accused both Dr Mahathir and Daim of having been involved in billion-ringgit (claimed to be RM100 bil to RM200 bil) corruption activities 25 years ago and that he has six boxes of evidence to prove their wrongdoings.

“As far back as the 1980s and 1990s, even DAP which was then in the opposition had exposed this alongside a few political analysts/observers but the irony is how in 2018 they (DAP) still appointed Dr Mahathir as PM and Daim as government advisor to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government helmed by PKR, DAP and Amanah,” he wondered.
“This is very mind-boggling given that no arrest was made on Dr Mahathir who was touted as the most corrupt ex-PM in history and Daim as the biggest robber in Malaysia.
