The Chimera of DAP double standards vis-a-vis MCA

Malaysiakini:

Rough start for BN's Kesidang candidate after spotlight on BM fluency

MALACCA POLLS | BN candidate for Kesidang Leong Hui Ying's campaign got off to a rough start after a video clip of her apparently struggling to answer reporters in Bahasa Malaysia started making rounds.

The video clip depicted Leong being asked in English by a reporter for her thoughts on the "stability for prosperity" theme used by BN for the Malacca elections.

Leong (above) thought very hard about the question and struggled to find an answer, to which the reporter repeated the question in Bahasa Malaysia.

Unable to answer, she looked off-camera and told someone in Chinese: "I don't know how to answer this question."

Outcome: Excoriated for poor BM

In reality: Stage fright

Teo Nie Ching apologises for 'Lahabau Melaka' blunder

PETALING JAYA: Kulai MP Teo Nie Ching has apologised for putting up a picture on Facebook with the curse word "lahabau" (useless) without understanding its meaning.

On Monday (Nov 8), Teo had uploaded a picture accompanied by the words "Lahabau Melaka, Jom Undi" in a bid to show her support for the Melaka state elections and encourage voters to vote.

However, according to Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, "lahabau" means "useless" or "unreliable".

Teo said due to the strict ban on campaigning, almost all campaigns for the Melaka elections had to be done via social media and that many Pakatan Harapan staffers, particularly from DAP, had lacked sleep in preparing campaign materials.

"However, human beings can't escape from making mistakes, including myself.

"Due to this, there has been an embarrassing language mistake made on social media. I only wanted to campaign through the free photo frame on Facebook without understanding what the word meant.

"With this, I humbly apologise for my mistake in uploading the campaign material using the wrong wording and language," she said in a Facebook post on Monday (Nov 8).

She also promised to be more careful when uploading social media campaign materials for the Melaka state elections.

"I apologise to all, especially to the people and voters of Melaka," she said.

Outcome: No problem - sayang sayang dodo sayang

In reality: Usual Tigress-Tikus reckless pomposity and kerbau (a la UEC promise)

  1. The difference is, the Race and Religion Supremacists continuously liable DAP as Chinese Chauvinist.
So...if DAP somehow shows lack of fluency in Malay, its just part of the stereotype.

MCA , in the Race and Religion Supremacist messaging, are the "Good Guys" , they get along well with the Zombies, they support the Malay agenda.

So...when the MCA candidate turns out to be lousy at the Malay Language....it's worth exposing and highlighting
