Instead of Timah and 4-Ekor, PAS should be looking into molestation against students

PETALING JAYA: A 36-year-old secondary school teacher in Terengganu, suspected of molesting male students at the school hostel, has been arrested and placed in remand until Nov 18 to assist in an investigation.

The magistrate’s court issued the remand order under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

The teacher was arrested after a student’s father lodged a police report. The father said his son told him by phone on Friday that he had been molested in his hostel room on Thursday night and early Friday morning, according to a Sinar Harian report.

According to sources, many of the student’s dormmates had admitted that they too had been molested by the teacher.

“But they were too afraid and ashamed to come forward, so they did not inform their parents about what the teacher did to them. It took the police report lodged by the victim’s father to make them come forward,” said the source.

It is understood that 10 other students have come forward. Terengganu CID chief Mohd Marzuki Mohd Mokhtar confirmed receiving complaints from several other students on the same suspect.

  1. To hope that PAS prioritise the "right" issues like this molestation case is a bit too much, I think.

These hypocrites don't understand the concept of right or wrong; fairness and injustice.

To them imposing their religious will on the nons is an islamic thing. Such wrongs like molestation and incest are not important enough to be given the proper attention.
