Shahril takes aim at Harapan over disputes in S'gor, N Sembilan
Umno information chief Shahril Hamdan has taken aim at Pakatan Harapan over the coalition’s internal disputes surrounding the issue of the Kuala Langat North Forest Reserve’s (KLNFR) degazettement and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun’s recent fallout.
He criticised the Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, who is also the state’s Harapan chief, over his handling of the KLNFR issue.
Malaysiakini previously reported that the Selangor government quietly degazetted half of the Kuala Langat forest reserve in May.
“The Selangor Harapan government degazetted the forest reserve... (but) all parties have their representatives in the State Executive Council and it is impossible for them to be unaware of the decision which was made in May.
“Only when people (start) making noises, they (the representatives) began to pretend to object to the decision. No apology, no admission of any mistake,” Shahril said in a Facebook post last night.
The news of the KLNFR degazettement caused an uproar among the public and politicians alike.
Amirudin later agreed to delay the degazettement after being summoned by PKR leaders.
Shahril also took aim at Harapan’s internal dispute in Negeri Sembilan, where Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun, who is also the state’s PKR chief, is in a fallout with his party grassroots.
Four PKR assemblypersons and 11 others from Negeri Sembilan PKR declared their loss of faith in Aminuddin last night.
“Other parties are busy channelling aid, expediting vaccinations, working hard to bring Malaysia out of the current situation.
“Harapan? Conducting meetings to reject decisions made by itself and bringing down an MB from its own party,” Shahril said.
