Deputy minister says sorry over dangerous overtaking
The video of the Toyota Alphard’s overtaking manoeuvre which went viral recently.
PETALING JAYA: Deputy minister for religious affairs Ahmad Marzuk Shaary has apologised for driving his Toyota Alphard dangerously and overtaking across double lines.
He said that he took responsibility for his actions, after receiving comments from various individuals and through social media over the matter.
“The case is currently under police investigation and my employee has been called by police to record his statement.
“I will let the authorities take the appropriate action,” Marzuk said in a Facebook posting.

The Kelantan police confirmed receiving a report about a vehicle, with the registration number P45, being driven in a dangerous manner.
State traffic enforcement chief Shuhaimi Jusoh said the 38-second video showed a black Toyota Alphard dangerously overtaking across double lines on Jalan Bukit Marak-Binjai, Kota Bharu.
The video was shared on a Facebook account which claimed that the vehicle with the registration number ‘P45’ belonged to a deputy minister.
